  1. I've delt with a lot of these Miami and Philly NYC guys. 95% of them have no idea what there talking about. I've seen bikes with base gaskets stacked to clear cranks. Ask any of them the porting specs, squish, comp, timing, anything. They don't know. Running race gas just because they think its gonna get them more power. I turn down a lot of work from NYC and Philly because some people have out of the world ideas/ to cheap to do it the right way because they saw it somewhere else.

  5. You came here for help. Most have seen what a bad crank can do. Any bike I get, crank gets trued and welded. It's cheap insurance. You really want a 8 lbs dead weight swinging around at 8k rpm coming apart on you?
  6. I have never put this much thought into my riding pants. If its on sale and fits, there mine.
  7. A revamp would be great. I like the handling of my banshee. I'm 6'3" so the bigger frame feels good. So a updated suspension, 450 style shocks and better front a arms that are rebuildable. No more stock style swing arm. All they need as far as motor is a better trans like zilla said. Then they'd have a decent platform. For the most part they kept the bike extremely simple. Hence the what 10 changes if that since the 80s

  9. Never reuse gaskets, also don't use a hammer and screw driver. Just work it off. Some pb blaster will work in there
  10. Send the cylinders back to be ported for a 4 mil, get the crank port and domes from fast and then you'll be good

  15. Yeah, I read it that way on 250r forums. Now with the squish, I'll use your numbers. .010 below deck height Your looking for .042 squish so a .032 step in the dome. Now if I run a .016 base won't that make the piston .026 below deck and won't you a.028 dome? But how much does the base gasket compress when you torque the cylinders?
  16. I did find that the rubber around the orange wire from the CDI to the Coil has rubbed off (little spot). If that's grounded then yeah that'll kill the spark
