  4. I had this discussion with my father a few months ago. I had little stubby UNI filters to put on my girls bike. He told me those things are a joke, so we kept going back and forth about it. We never tested anything, but figured that they'll only fail if you can pull enough air to collapse them. I don't think her bike would pull that much air to out flow the filters. There open 360 degrees around. It'll take some vaccum to out flow them, I think more then some bikes make. But for all I know we are both wrong and way off course. Like I said it was a discussion that we had and just left alone. Her bike runs fine btw
  5. I had a good running motor from Kevin. Got a better running motor from a local. Worth the wait.
  6. Unfortunately that's true. I called the guy that built the bike that was beating me. Told him I need to go faster then him. And he got me there.
  7. I have a fast in my bike. Dune port 4 mil. Holds up good. I beat the piss out of my bike. Have a tusk in the girls bike. Trail port stock stroke. She's not the best rider and will def slip the clutch and heat shit up. Has held up well so far. For a cheap clutch it holds its own. I'd run one. Not for long, but I'd put one in. For your bike I think it'll be good
  8. I waited about 9 months for a complete motor rebuilt. Now I'm the fastest guy of the group. It was worth the wait.
  9. 450 crank 300-500 porting 250 cool head and 4 mil domes 300 bore hone pistons 100 for assorted gaskets/seals How's your clutch? How's your basket? Does it shift? There's always more to be done. I'm ball parking my prices. Maybe you can find used, maybe there will be a special going on. But like mentioned, it's not cheap.

  13. Well naturally with the way things are going I had a bad reaction to the tape strips the doctor used. But the cast is off. So today I start physical therapy 3 times a week. Gonna be tough, but I'm healing up quick and doc says 6 months I'll be 100% ( as good as I can get really)
  14. then your lucky. I have a modded trans in my bike because I basically lost all shifting once I started to run a little power threw the trans.
  15. That's a template port. I know because I have one. All they do is the intake and exhaust, they don't touch the transfers. It's a good guide. I used the exhaust and touched up the rest from what I learned. Not bad to get started
  16. They seem to like local racers with deep pockets. This statement sums that place up. I'm kind of local, an hour out. I hate going there. They take forever to acknowledge people are there, they get frustrated answering questions, I went for a throttle cable and filters, took 45 minutes. Dude was sitting on the computer smoking a cigarette, blowing it in my face. I was asking about the k&n vs the foam I saw, dude said " ones foam, ones paper. What more do you need to know?" I'll only order small things from them in a pinch because 99% of the time I'll get it in 2 days
