You got lucky. I've seen more then a handful of motors lose all the trans fluid from that break.
When I build a motor now I drill holes there.
1. for a drain
2. To give it a weak point to break an not put a tiny hole in the trans part of the case.
Just my preference, I use a new pressure plate,new hub, cable, bushings, and sometimes actuator with a new clutch.
Saves a lot of headache on unknown parts.
