    You got lucky. I've seen more then a handful of motors lose all the trans fluid from that break. When I build a motor now I drill holes there. 1. for a drain 2. To give it a weak point to break an not put a tiny hole in the trans part of the case.

    Just my preference, I use a new pressure plate,new hub, cable, bushings, and sometimes actuator with a new clutch. Saves a lot of headache on unknown parts.

    I had great luck with my current Regina gold chain. It cost like 140. But I had to adjust it maybe 2 times in the past 15 rides

    Get what ever is in your budget. There was a set of fmf in the FS section for cheap. Shearer,CPI,sniper aren't needed.
