  1. Interesting. I was thinking more like this
  2. My buddy has one BNIB from mattoon. I think he wants 125 shipped. I double check
  3. your not listening. You fucked up. It happens. follow this list 1. leak down test 2. pressure test rad/cooling system 3. disassemble top end 4. send top end to a builder to get you what you need. pay them 5. reassemble top end 6. pressure test rad/cooling system 7. leak down test 8. ride you cant just slam new pistons in and say it has a rebuilt top end. do some research and learn what/why/how shit works and what is needed
  4. You guys read that wrong. He meant like super stoned "dumb high"
  5. Leak down test and pressure test. And of course they looked fine. You'll never see .030 out of round. There is 6 measurements to take and then some quick math. A cylinder is bored to the piston as well. So a builder will measure the piston and then bore accordingly to the clearances for that specific piston. I will say, a good builder will. A dealer will just bore to what seems like what ever is on the machine last.
  6. Is your thumb broken? Bump for good parts. Somebody should jump on those axis shocks
  7. Sounds like an electrical issue. Pull you coil. Ohm it. Ohm the caps too
  8. Did you measure your cylinders?? Was the bore true? Was it an egg shape? Was your ring gap correct? Did you do a leakdown? Did you pressure test the cooling side? Just putting in new pistons isn't going to do a thing. It was probably a waste and I personally wouldn't run those pistons unless checked by a competent builder.
  9. No. I put one on because it looks cool. I did notice my bike does start easier and it clears out faster after warmup or idle
  10. This here tells me why you have an issue. You cylinders were possibly egg shaped. Why wouldn't you bore them. You said it idled high before it shut off. If you didn't bore the cylinders, I'm thinking you didn't do a leakdown. I'm also curious if you even used new gaskets.
  11. This. He built my 4 mil stock cylinder. I haven't put a wrench to it once except to change my oil and clean my filters
  12. can you get me some pictures? I keep burning up my right side filter
  13. It goes for what it cost. That's it. I've gotten prices across the board. A industrial powder coater will do frames for about 100 bucks. I can only get white black brown or green. That's the only colors he does. If I want a custom color it's like 700 to do a frame. That's because it would hold up production. I also would want them to prep it. If it comes out like shit, they'll just blame your prep. I they do it all there's no reason it should be wrong.
  14. RU, when you get a motor together send it to a builder. I'll send one from someone that built mine. Dyno them. You choose the neutral party. You choose strokeXbore You choose pipes You choose fuel You choose intake You choose carbs You can pick hp or tq build. You can set all the perimeters just set a time. Until you prove something at some point, keep your condescending comments to yourself. Your just a guy that has a good memory. All you do is repeat shit. You haven't showed once you magic piston and rod combos and spacers. You just say how it can be done but never showed yourself doing it. Any asshole can type a theory. And that's all you did/are.
  15. Hell yeah. That thing hauls. Off the line we are side by side. In a 3-500' race it can go either way. He lucked out with that.
  16. My buddy has a 370 LR Rudy Kurtz motor. That thing is right next to my 4 mil. Only way I beat him is I out motor him on a long run
