It is. But with some power it just become a hassle to ride. With my stock length swim arm and 4 mil the line of fun and hassle are so close. The front end lifting ALL THE TIME can get annoying some times in the trails.

I think you need to grasp the concept of drag racing a little better. Maybe your slow out of the hole. Maybe wheel spin. Maybe clutch slip. Maybe over geared. There's literally thousands of things that can be wrong. Top speed doesn't make faster ET

Change them. But slow is a vague word. Acceleration slow? Top speed slow? Clutch set up? Tire pressure? Bike set up? There's a few guys here that take drag racing serious. Maybe you can get some info from them.

Roll axis/fox. Fireball too. But axis and fox are far superior to Elka. Unless you get into there stage 5 stuff. I have a jannsenn (fireball) front end with axis shocks. Standard travel. Roll design stock length swinger with a Baldwin rebuilt rear. I've never seen the JDperformance in person but from the pics it looked good. You want all handling parts to work well with each other. So a good stem, bars, rear axle, correct offset wheels, brakes, tires, and a few other small things. I could go on all day about suspension and set up. Ergonomics is the best way to ride all day. A lot of people over look that stuff.

You need 4 mil domes or a machined head. You didn't say wether your bottom end is up to par. Runs good only after 4th gear? That seems to be a pretty big issue.
