  1. Ill be there. Should have full exhuast on it by the trip. I plan on gettin there late wednesday of that week.
  2. I might make it. Won't know for sure till the week of the ride though.
  3. I might beable to make it down this time. If so i will probly be rolling down alone.
  4. I will be there, should be heading down thursday night or friday morning. I will be riding a yellow 400ex with yoshi pipe cut fenders and a twist throttle, and a red SPUD sticker on the front of it. There will be 3 other yellow 400ex's and a silver buggy in the group.
  5. looks like my group decided to hold the trip off for a week.
  6. I will be heading down thursday night, havent decided on a time yet. So far there will be the 5 yellow 400ex's along with a white and blue 250r one or two red 400ex's a black 450r a red 250ex and a silver dune buggy. We will probly try to get a spot or two in cowboy.

  8. the 400ex can be built to run for as old of a design as the engine is. my dads 440 has an keihin fcr carb stage one hotcam full yoshimura exhuast and a home port job and was pullin 40 horse on the ground, not bad for what we used, switch to a hotter cam and a bigger carb and it will probly be easy to break the 45 mark. down at little sahara last year and it was killing the 450's and craptors pretty damn easy. for an outdated design they can still be pretty fast.

  11. where are you running the clip on the needle? using the airbox lid?
  12. a 248 main is WAY to big for an EX, go down to about a 165 and it should work alot better. the 400ex may not keep up with a banshee on top speed but not alot of people are balls out top gear the whole time they ride. at the dunes im alomost always in 3rd in the trails and fourth on the open sand, i have a 16 tooth from sproket in it and it doesnt want to pull fifth very well.
  13. me and my dad put his thru the 440 treatment and got 40.4 horse on the dyno. all it has is a wiseco 440 kit, stage one hotcam, porting, yoshi full exhuast and a keihin 39mm fcr carb. not bad for a home port-job. in the next couple of weeks mine goin down for a 426 that we are gonna build a little hotter, hopefully ill be puttin out about 42 once we get the carb and a better cam in it.
