  1. I don't have any of these bikes in the shop right now and need to gather info for one of our product revisions. If you have a good camera and a clean bike, please PM me and I will let you know what I need. I doubt a camera phone will do it though. Thanks guys!!
  2. The best way to test a stator is with kick testing and a scope. It usually takes some experience so resistance testing becomes the norm. Usually if resistance is close to in range, you are fine. The meter usually will read OL (open line) when there is an issue.
  3. Shit! I am sorry, I read that wrong. Let me shift gears... Who lives close to this asshole...
  4. To be honest, it usually depends on our work load. As of now, we plan to cut heads next week so it will be approx 1 week lead time. Probably cut late in the week. NOTE: We are NOT offering the 72mm cut until we have some testing completed. We go up to 68mm at this time. Mull Engineering
  5. I don't even know them but I might not be so quick to dog them on a forum It has not been that long and he may very well have got sick or something unavoidable. I think I would give it a week and see how things go. If he just will not return calls, contact paypal and see if they will help out.
  6. Just curious what flavor of override you guys are using. 1-5, 2-5, duneable, drag only, neutral down, etc. We may try to cater some of our products towards the drag crowd. Thanks
  7. I won't seek to create an argument over Orings but we are getting read to build a 72mm alky head for a customer. If the gasket holds that, I think they will hold about anything. Only 2mm of sealing surface area around the bore.
  8. We'll do your 68mm bore but not the orings. Gaskets have been working without fail for us for a long time. B
  9. Gathering the numbers for swept volume calcs would be best. You know your bore, stroke, and head displacement. The only thing you need to do is determine the piston dome volume. For a ballpark, I suggest 4.5cc for the calc.
  10. Yeah, I coating should never peel like that. That is a huge failure in that one area. May be some contamination in the barrel retarding adhesion. B
  11. You can get Methanol and Gasoline to mix?? Also, remember that basing octane requirements on cranking compression numbers can you in trouble. Just FYI
  12. UPDATE: We have found a donor. I will update later after we have some beta testing completed.
  13. Thats kind of where I am at. Clutch cover came off for some reason, now trans does not disengage. Possibly got the inner and outer hubs locked up.
  14. Now i have not read up on these products but I will note that some synthetic companies will "rate" their lubes as say an 80-90 in way of protection, but the actual viscosity is much less. This is where they are able to claim HP gains. Lighter fluids make power. It is also very important to select a non-detergent lube that is rates for wet clutch packs. I have no idea how many clutches I have done because people go buy car oil at wal mart... By the way, Spectra Gold is a very good oil. B
  15. Clutch drag!! Just put the chain on, it will be fine. Clutch drag will always cause some rotation of the output shaft if there is no load.. EDIT: oops, after re-reading your post, I shot you the wrong way. That certainly sounds like the trans has issues and either assembled wrong or a gear has welded to the shaft. You might find a gear where the bike will not die when the clutch is released. That is likely the gear that is welded. You took the clutch cover off, why? Am I missing a chapter here?
  16. I think I need a road map on some of these off brands. I don't keep track of who all is the same. I can never find any Denli or Kasea stuff anywhere. The Polaris seems to be the only one that is half way abundant.
  17. If you look at that link, the piston is indeed for a banshee but I have no idea why someone added that extra ring. I am just not a fan. I can see no advantage, regardless of claims. B
  18. Would not trust it with a 10 foot pole! I have no idea why or who designed it but I do not like it. You need something robust on the ring grooves on a 2 stroke or you chance hanging something in a port. B
  19. No. Seals don't change anything. B
  20. We recommend 1 tank at about 50% power. I realize many just want to wring it out instantly but I can disprove that theory pretty easy. Take it easy for about 1 hr and you will be fine. Mull Engineering
  21. Yeah, I can make an LT80 cook but their down fall is the integral trans/swingarm that is known to break. They also have very poor geometry. Actually, I think most do but he will just have to deal with it until he is older....
  22. Famous water pump. Pull clutch cover and rebuild. B
  23. Needing another bike for my son. Prefer one that needs work. Also would rather it already have a few mods done like pipe and suspension work. Let me know what you have.
  24. Yeah, a Blaster is certainly too big for now. I want to make sure and keep him on something that is the right size so he can hone his riding skills easier.
