  1. i heard bad things about keys shearin, so i prefer a plate. my mistaked was to get a PD one since ricky stator sellf for like 1/3 of the price
  2. jim talked me out of it. not sure what im gonna do. he said that he'd only done two bigbores and and he just couldnt do them right. both of those jobs got botched and he had to eat the whole price tag for new everything right down to the jugs. since its ported already a stroker motor is pretty much out of the ?. the good news is that it didnt ruin my LR crank. im thinkin when i have my money set up right ill take it to tulsa and have passion put in new sleeves, pistons, and have it all port matched. i guess ill be splitting the case again to check for any debris in the bottomend. there was some but i blew it out with air, im still goin in for a closer inspection though.
  3. nope, no ignition advance. yeah ill replace 'em anyways. since itll have to be sleeved im gonna go big bore i think. anyone got any advice on these?
  4. yeah my bad, its a PD cool head. hang on lemme post a pic of that dome
  5. i hear they dont hook for shit. if youve got a pretty modded banshee get some haulers, or what led's got. if its pretty much stock get some sandstars. and yes paddles do wear out. ive seen more than one pair of sand skate 2's with the paddles flying off in chunks.
  6. im not sure on the true comp. its ported pretty well but ive got 19's in it. but the jug IS cratered. hang on ill post some pics.
  7. when you put a hole in the dome of a piston do you have to split the case?
  8. the look into getting a new shaft. but first id mic the one on your bike and then try to find the diameter it is supposed to be from the factory. good luck with that. im off to fix my seized motor. big bore time i think.
  9. chalk up a third for sandstars. not quite a hauler but a little better hook than a sand skate 2, for much much less.
  10. did you tighten the pinch bolt?
  11. yes its like a 90 minute drive. ill call jim in the morning and see what we can put together, im think a vitos 404 but we'll see.
  12. tgwkd-whatever, do you even own a banshee?
  13. no doubt, varsity blues ok heres a hard one. "the way i see it, this entire mission is a serious misallocation of military resources"
  14. hell yes, i live in OK. ok guys what are the pros and cons of a big bore motor? gimme all i need to know cause theres no reason to not do it from what i can see.
  15. i need to know a good sleeve guy cause i just roasted my topend (it was on the last bore). gimme someone close to okc OK, if possible.
  16. ok so i thought i had it fixed, but no. just roasted my topend and im on the last bore. who's got the number of a good sleave guy?
  17. very very cool, whats that kit cost?
  18. the twin carbs are supposed to have better topend while the single has great lowend. it also is a lot less hassle to maintain, since you only have one to jet and one filter to clean, plus there is no synchronizing ever needed. you could try the trinity website Trinity, and i think graydon makes one as well. those are for new ones. if youd like to go the used route try eBay or the for sale section in the forums. Hope this helps, Cole
  19. so, the point is we want to do both with one machine. can you run your snowmobile at the glamis drag strip. im gonna go with no.
  20. shit, i msure thats it. i been kinda having to hit it a little with my palm to get it to seat correctly and i bet that is knocking those things ouf of place. ok so how do you all do it. do you put the domes on the jugs then put the oter piece on, or do you put the domes into the head and seat it all at the same time?
  21. they fall out of the grooves and get all cut when i torque the head all the way down.
