If you have the money to spend go for it,I wouldnt, especially if its runnin hard. The reeds are going to give you better throttle responce. A must have in my opinion...
A bog at Wide Open Throttle is usually an indication that its rich on the mains. Before you go leaner on the mains try this. With the motor warmed up pull the choke out to the first notch,if the bog at WOT gets worse you know your rich and can drop a size on the mains;if it gets better with the choke out it means your lean and should start going up on the mains until it bogs at WOT then drop a size.
Ive never been to Kansas, but from what I saw in the Wizard of OZ I knew I would never wanted to go there.Dorothy said theirs no place like home,Ill take her word for it.
The Pilot air jet/screw is the little gold screw on the outside of the carb. The Pilot jet is inside of the carb in the smaller whole youll have to unscrew it.
Timing plate with advanced ignition go 0-1 size larger on the mains.
With the reeds, move needle clip one position LEANER an 0-2 sizes larger on the pilots.
Also adjust the air screw.
