Just thinking? I know dont do that. If you put a long rod crank in and a spacer. What are you really doing? I thought you got better performance by reduceing crank case area. now its getting bigger. And your not moving anything up top. If you run reg pistons there produceing the same compression just higher up. Now what makes sense is no plate and a milled head for piston clearence. Someone help me understand this plate moving cylinder up and longer rod at the same time and actually makeing your bike faster. Thanks

250.00 take offs like new. I was going to install them on mine but Im selling the shee without them on. Brown truck came with them yesterday. Just getting rid of them for what I paid for them. Ebay bids are hitting up to 350 for a set. vmaxup@yahoo.com

First off I know Im In the wrong post area but this is were I usually go first. I went to Glamis for easter and for those that were at the drags I was the 98 gray and yellow that was smoken you guys. All that crome and drag pipes got you no were. Anyway had lots of fun and never left the drags till I was on reserve. I even got a ride at olds jumpin the General Lee X5 rail. I had more problems shifting on wend and found out when the shift star grabber gets logged into the star the spring on the end is shot and you need to replace the shift shaft. And I could not believe they had it at the vendors. I got home and my shee is fast but im picking up my new YFZ 450 on SAT. I cant believe the price its 7099 for the black edition. and thats it tax title and set up included. I write a check for that and im out the door. White and blue are 6999 out the door. There even putting on the pipe , nerfs, twist, k@n, and the cam upgrade and out the door is 8000.00 installed. This place is in Payson AZ. Ma and pa shop. 3 seasons motorsports. Tell them I sent you. Its a black addition with all the stuff and my name is Eric. You will not find a better deal. I want to tell everyone they sell Yamaha out the door as listed retail on Yamaha site. OUT THE DOOR NOT DEALER PREP OR TAXES ADDED. The high compression piston installed for 250.00 extra. Im holding out till after I ride it a little. There really fast with these upgrades. Dont worry I didnt sell the shee yet but an offer isint going to keep it in my garage. I will still come on to help with your shees. Also I bought a set of yfz shocks for my shee that I wont be needing bran new 250.00 plus shipping. I thought I would never move on after the Banshee. But im tired of the same old repairs on 3 shees. There like clock work one goes and the 2 months later the same thing is wrong. But I know whats wrong at least. So If you got a question Email me vmaxup@yahoo.com Ps you guys are great but im going to find a yfz Forum soon OUT

Your crank bearing let loose. Get a new crank your done.

your flywheel will be fine just use some scotch brite pad to clean it up. If it runs ok dont worry. Just when you take the flywhell off there will be a dusty resudue on the inside of everyting. Use some brake cleaner or electrical cleaner to spray it out. Mine was the same way and still runing strong. I think the water gets in through the elctrical boot to the stator. This happens when mud clogs up the drain on top of the motor that is suposed to let the water go thru. Just leave that to the hunting quad(water).

Well apparently we could just go round and round untill were blue in the face. It shows everytime I post you have some smart ass coment so just keep to yourself. I supose were just better of dropping it not worth my time. Its kind of like an old lady and you know how there always right and we are better off saying nothing and dropping it. So let it go and you help where you want and I will do the same. see ya in Glamis.OUT

So DICK we meet again do me a favor and dont post to my shit. It looks like your just on here to make problems instead of fix them. I never said I was an expert but give me a break. Tell a guy to drill a hole in his casses. Were trying to fix them not by more parts. About my shock Im sorry I didnt say shocks didnt think if you read this you would see my mistake considering you cant read anyone elses posts without giving them some BS answer(drill a Hole). So now your going to actually read the post and think before you reply. Again Call NASA he can function Just so you know and you know everything right. Well if you know everything I was down at Marvin Shaw today and he said it was out of nitro and he rebuilt my shock for 50 bucks filled it and Im ready to go. Thanks for your reply Dick

Not a big deal I now assemble a Banshee motor and insatall and running in 2 1/4 I time myself just to kmow if I could do it in a pinch. Ya get the clmers manual. Dont worry no big deal nothing comes flying out when you split them. The gears stay in there end of the motor they just sit there and dont bother you at all. Get Yamabond and some new seals and your set also get a torque wrench for the case halfs

The rod will make this much noise if its going out. It should turn over really hard after it cooled down or not at all. I had this happen and the rod bearing went out. No reason from what my crank builder said, I had hot rod Rods and only 2 years old and after a top end rebuild during warm up in the first half hr.. Thats strange? Now im thinking the cause was something else if the same happened to you. Before the rebuild did you have a torn intake boot? or is it torn? I did.

Just checking how do you refill rear shocks with nitrogen? Leavin Wend fot the dunes and need to borrow or buy a shock for the rear. This sucks Im not riding the 96 but my freind is traveling 3000 miles to go to Glamis. I want him to have a good time. He lives in WI so anybody near him with one or near me? I just noticed it dosent come up like my 98? Ive been really doing some maintence on them to get them ready and this just thru a wrench in the plan. No way im spending big money on a Works or Elka. I also herd Raptor shocks fit? Dont have one of those either. SHIT

Holly crap Ive been watching a set of yfz shocks for the shee for 5 days and they started out at like 50.00 There up to like 260.00 and still climbing and not over untill 2pm tommorrow. Im up late messing with this computer got it torn apart like a shee on a sunday after a hard day. I got to looken at the ones I wanted and see what else was out there and snaged a buy it now 5 minutes after this guy put them on 200.00 and 12.00 shipping. I hope they work as good as they say on the shee. Whos got the pics on were I have to grind to get them on? What sucks he is in PA and Im in AZ and this is the last trip To Glamis for the year. I leave on WEN. I know never going to make it. But oh well have to try them in dirt when I get back. How well do they work and were to grind?
