1. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/yamaha-banshee-rotax-/180637469957?pt=UK_CartsParts_Vehicles_ATVQuad_Trike_Parts_Accessories_SM&hash=item2a0ed50d05#ht_500wt_1156 Appears to be a clean swap but it still begs the question... WHY? Looks also like they tried to make the rear No-Link... OOF pipe back to in-frame silencer, there are a lot of unexplained mods to this banshee...
2. Get a clear oversized tank, then you can see the fuel level. Beyond that I've never seen or heard of any other type of fuel gauge for a banshee, other than the float type.
3. You trip me out with your lack of textual communication skills RDZ, I'm baffled every time I see one of your responses. Very nice banshee's guys. I came across a 250R recently so I believe I will be setting the banshee up strictly for the woods now and holding onto the 250 for the track. I should have pics of it near completion in a month or so.
4. Gotta start somewhere! Your best bet it to get your banshee fully functional and safe then get some seat time. The riding experience is going to take you further than anything. While you're accumulating these riding skills also save your money and spend it where you start to "out ride" your bike. It will more than likely be handling before power.
5. I have a set that are exactly like that. I thought the same thing when I saw it, pretty tacky.
6. Hey cam, Can you send me some pictures to trick2stroke@yahoo.com Thanks.
7. It's all relative to rider, set up, and intended usage. Best to just get both.
8. The -1 or -2 swing arm is a largely over looked mod. Many seem to feel as though they wouldn't be able to climb hills or keep the front end down, this is entirely speculation and it not true. Unless you have an 85+ hp banshee the -2 is probably one of the more drastic changes for the better you can make to stock banshee suspension. Couple that with some +2+1 or +1+1 a arms, a +2 or +4 axle, and some better shocks all the way around and you have one hell of a ride. As mentioned good tires, strong rims, cooling mods, and perhaps a larger capacity tank are a must in the XC world. All of those things are going to make life easier for you over miles of the rough stuff. Once you have the suspension ironed out focus on making the power usable/ridable. The -2 swinger is going to give you ALOT more traction than before, focus on a smooth power and torque curve. Get with one of the site sponsors and they will give you the hook up on a motor set up for your needs as you describe them. Do this ONLY after you have the suspension to handle more power.
9. I think that poor thing needs a good wash and maybe some fresh paint/powder! Pipes came out good.
10. I was young when I first came here in 2001. I didn't sign up right away, I had a blaster and frequented BlasterHQ and just had dreams of getting a banshee at the time. I would just read posts and look at pics for a while before I registered. , It was cool reading this thread and remembering all the old names, all of which taught me something at some point. 90% of what I know pretty much is attributed to this forum. Although I'm not a heavy poster I feel like this forum is family and I appreciate everyones contributions!
11. Just get you some ultra copper high temp silicone, I always use a nice little bead when I put the exhaust back on, never had any leaks.
12. That was the first thing I thought as well. Drag porting a Serval makes no sense.
13. Pure awesomeness, I love how smooth it sounds! Also loving the fact you didn't abandon this incredible thread and are keeping everyone updated in detail till the end!
14. Clearly this decision is based on the coverage of your area. Here in Texas ATT has their shit pretty much covered, I wouldn't trade my Iphone for any other phone out right now or any other service, for where I live.
15. If you're asking for size recommendations people usually use a 35-39 mm carb from all I've seen and used. I have an extra 39mm lectron /w 14" K&N clamp on filter that would be perfect for a 2-1. Pm me if you're interested.
16.

I thought I was being polite and mature about it. Sorry, I'm done.
17. Good read. I can't wait for the day that all the 4 stroke propaganda comes to a halt and two strokes to take their place in all high performance aspects. At least from a production stand point, I'd love to have DI on all my bikes.
18. So you could go out, buy a blown stock banshee or simply a roller for in the neighborhood of 500, get an old 600 street bike motor for 600-1000, spend a few weekends cutting and welding, and turn a 4500 dollar profit? Seems a little far fetched. The R1 banshee makes more sense, it's a larger motor, has aftermarket suspension, among many other things, and is set up for the sand where a swap like this would make more sense. Even still he is having trouble selling and is taking offers, which will likely not be anywhere near 6, reinforcing what I was saying previously. How reliable is a 100 hp banshee? Well considering that bike probably puts 80ish to the rear wheels in a quad, also not having proper transmission gear ratio's for off road or a quad, I'd say a 4-7 mil serval would be easily a better set up that is VERY reliable. Consider also the fact that you may have to rebuild once or twice the banshee in the span of the 4 strokes life and still spend much less than rebuilding the 600 once. AGAIN please don't take this as I'm anti hybrid projects or that I'm bashing OP's bike, I think it's a cool idea, which in this case needs refining. They have their place, I would place them in the dunes or on a asphalt type surface, maybe even a sundahl type frame for some high speed desert shooting. Point of this all being you can't just shove a big heavy engine in place without tons of R&D and fabrication getting the handling refined and expect it to be worth a fortune. I don't see why this is such a foreign concept.
19. There's no other twin 2 stroke ATV's. They're comfortable as shit, sound awesome, amazing potential, reliable, and look completely original in a good way. I'm sure there are other things I'm taking for granted and over looking.
20. Not really an accurate interpretation. Is this even still considered a banshee? Maybe this should be moved to the none-banshee related section. Where does it say I have to want to pay the sellers price for the item or want to buy it in general? Where do your posts come into this picture, officer? Obviously I'm interested in the thread content and steering this guy in the right direction. "There is nothing to compare it to price wise." That statement is part of the reason I was explaining my first sarcastic post and trying to justify why he would get much lower offers and flack from the other members.
21. That's far from what's happening. The HQ is a community that gives advice and criticism at times. Sure the rules say what was quoted but does this allow for someone to rip another HQ member off? I would hope not, whether he's trying to or not that is what's happening with that price. Maybe if our classifieds cost to post like some forums, right now he's not out anything. The fee would buy you the right to not have constructive criticism in your thread. At this point I would only see illicit bashing and trash talking as inappropriate. Chances of selling a whole bike on the HQ aren't very high anyway, he's better off listing on craigslist or ebay if he's serious about selling. The fact of the matter is, when you come into a specific forum and try to sell that specified bike that the members have a large pool of knowledge of, it is going to be combed over with a fine tooth comb.
