  1. Any swing arm short of a no link that is made for the banshee will work with that linkage. On that note the linkage does next to nothing and is not worth the added expense. I would give fireball racing a call for the +2+1 lt arms and stellar for the swinger.
  2. I'm also a fan of Custom Axis. MattSCS ranks Axis at the top of his list, then elka, and obviously he knows his shit.
  3. KB motorsports had them on sale at just over 400 with free shipping for a while, looks like they're back up to 460 now, I just went and looked.
  4. TZ sent me some more pics of the bike earlier this week, forgot about it until this morning.
  5. They're about 400 new shipped from a supplier and you can choose your color. Post some pics to ease the mind of the buyer to assure they are in fact brand new and you will have better luck selling. I'd be temped to buy them from you if they were the color I was looking for. Also to save yourself and a potential buyer on shipping look into freight services or delivery to a commercial address. I had some 250R plastics shipped UPS to my work and the shipping was only 40 bucks.
  6. Don't hesitate to buy from him guys, awesome seller. The parts I received from him were in excellent shape and everything was disclosed prior to sale through great pictures and description.
  7. I bought some engine components from TJ recently and as many of you know it can be pretty sketchy buying used engine parts from a complete stranger. He did an awesome job of providing more than enough high quality pictures and details on everything being bought. Parts arrived just a couple days after payment was recieved and being shipped, and when they arrived I was very impressed with the packing, never have I recieved parts so well packaged. He also provided an email full of pdf and xls files pertaining to the parts. All in all one of the best buying experiences I've had on the HQ. Do not hesitate to buy from TJ (ban99shee.) Blake
  8. Sent a PM but I'll respond here also. If the Mull impeller gear is still available I'll take it. PayPal ready, Thanks.
  9. I have a set of both but haven't had a chance to test them back to back. The general understanding is the PT's have a bit smoother and broad powerband than the PC's, however, they are both excellent all around pipes. Some say the PC's are the way to go once you move away from the stock configuration (strokers, larger bore, porting etc...) I loved my PT mids on my first bike. Like mentioned snag whichever you find a better deal on as either will satisfy your wants.
  10. I'd like to retract everything I said previously. If he has a winch and can drive over train tracks I was clearly mistaken, he is awesome.
  11. It's pretty safe to say if you can ride somewhere with one hand it's not pushing the limits of anything, especially on a stock suspended, heavy piece of shit. Once again I think this kids perception of speed is off. 40mph does seem kind of fast when you're not in the passenger seat of your moms prius.
  12. Your entire banshee isn't worth one of my front ends. As far as I see it you have two options, kill yourself or go try and impress someone on a 400 ex forum.
  13. You're not impressing anyone here. Will someone who has a real banshee around treverton take this guys title from him and dispose of this abomination? You should have put that motor in a bike that wouldn't be a downgrade from the original motor. Maybe a 400 ex. Is that +3 axle custom?
  14. I bet you're the too cool for a helmet and riding gear type to. I'm pretty positive there are members here with drag set ups that would make your little 600cc 4 choke look silly. Unless you have a turbo don't even think you have something untouchable. I could put a speedometer on my banshee that reads 180, doesn't mean it will reach that speed and I know for a fact neither will yours. I don't believe even a stock zx6r in bike trim will hit a true 180mph. Maybe you would like to take your heavy ass horrible weight distributed banshee against one of mine on the XC or MX track? Edit: Never mind, I saw his youtube videos and was really let down. I'd be inclined to say anyone with a well tuned 421 or larger set up would not have any trouble handling this silly hybrid.
  15. The Trex should be trailable being a PV cylinder but from what I have read it is difficult to tune and doesn't make as much HP as the other cylinders without additional porting. The Twisters are bad ass being that they're billet but that bad assness comes with a high price tag. BigRed is a huge advocate of these cylinders and has stated they have better cooling jackets for more distributive cooling and you have the adjustability of interchangeable intakes and exhaust. I don't know the trailability of these as I've only ever seen them on dune and drag bikes. The cheetah I assume you are talking about is the PV cylinder, correct? Once again, with the PV it should make for a broad and useable powerband but it will have a lot of HP and is also expensive. You need to determine if this is reasonable for your trails and budget. The cub isn't good for trails, before someone jumps on my ass saying "I trail mine" I'm not saying it isn't possible, just not the best set up. The Cub's lower port timing twin brother, the Serval is what most are looking for in a trail or track motor. Pretty big HP and Tq numbers on pump gas with a broad and smooth power curve. I am in the process of building a 4 mil 68mm serval so I cannot give any personal insight yet but others have been very pleased with these builds. Don't forget you will want to do some trans mods to be able to shift under the higher hp load and the clutch is going to need some attention to hold and be reliable. I'm no expert but this is my general idea pertaining to the question.
  16. Once again, it depends on your a arms. Stock YFZ shocks are too long also and as far as I know the elka's you're talking about could be stock length or almost 20" long, like mine. You can run them with no problems with proper a arms, the lower shock mount must be moved out to adjust for the longer shock. If not the shocks will put the ball joints in a bind by pushing them past their range of motion. The worse way to go about this is modding the yfz a arms to fit on the banshee, which I would steer you away from. There are a few companies that make BANSHEE a arms to accept the yfz shocks.
  17. No one has mentioned the R-2's? I am building a 421 right now and have been reading around and it seems a lot of people are loving the r2's for their great mid range that keeps pulling much higher than the mid range pipes. I have yet to see a comparison between the top suggested pipes on the same engine though such as: shearer SB inframes, CPI, R2's, and Snipers. When you consider the banshee being a twin, 68mm bore per cylinder isn't that big. Probably why the SB's are suggested mostly.
  18. You need to know the length, they will not just bolt on. There will be the added expense of buying a arms built for the stock length yfz elka shock or custom long travel a arms for a long travel yfz shock. Your limit is around 19.75", anything within that fireball can make you a set of a arms to use the shocks. There will also be the cost of valving/springing the shock for yours and the banshee's weight. Don't think you're getting out dirt cheap because these other expenses add up and without them your bike will ride like shit or break a balljoint from the shocks being too long.
  19. Fuckin' sweet! Bad ass project. More pics!
  20. Everyones definition of trails is different I suppose. oof pipes and pods would end your day quick on most of our rides.
  21. I wouldn't get pods if you ride trails or any kind of terrain where you run into standing water or mud. What kind of riding do you primarily do? Do you have any suspension mods?
  22. I sent him a text the other day on it and offered to post the pics to this thread but never a reply from him.
