screamin_banshee_2003 replied to slopoke's topic in Banshee Repairs and Mods

screamin_banshee_2003 replied to slopoke's topic in Banshee Repairs and Mods
glad to hear that it worked out i have a boss intake with built in crossover and i would like to know where did you add the rtv sealent. between the two pieces of the boss intake itself. or between the reed and the boss intake. thanx -
hey there guyz, i am not postin alot here but i am always around. i have bought a very clean used shearer pipes about 6 months ago. the right side pipe started to crack around the hanger about two months and it is gettin bigger. i just gave her a new top end with blaster 573 wiseco pistons(66.25) new cut doomes and a new clutch.(i had ripped both seals so the engine was burning trans. oil, and since it was opened i had to have a new top end for the new season) right now i am in the break in process what i am facing right now is that the right cracked pipe is a bit hotter (not that much as a sparkplug fail) than the left. if i keep the banshee idling it would get hot and the coolant container under the seat would bubble. another thing i noticed is that the exhasut pressure coming out from the right silencer is a bit powerful than the left side. even though i adjusted the left carb cutaway a bit higher than the right. and also i noticed that the right silencer is filled with oil residue while the left is dry. right now the crack is big enough to blow out a very small amount of exhaust depending on the throttle. can anybody tell me what am i facing? is a seal? is it the right pipe crack leaning out the right cylinder? or somethin else???? i am not smilling any burned transmission oil or coolant. i have cleaned the carb twice to make sure and it didn't work out. my mods are below in addition of pwk 35 carbs, shearer and wiseco blaster pistons. mix ratio at 24:1 with yamalube oil. I am running 162 mains and 52 pilots with air screw 4 turns out. altitude at sea level and temperature at 33-42 celsuis (probably around 90-105 F) the shee is running hard right now and i can bring the front up on fourth gear on pavment and there is no use of the first three gears. i love the shearer and how the power kicks in just like a turbo. any help would be appreciated.

hi guyz I am facing problems with my cooling system. I think the piston either in the up or down stroke is pressurizing the cooling system. I changed the o-rings(cool head gaskets) with two diffrent mechanics and it didn't work out. Installed a used trinity stage 4 head and that didn't work also. Basicly my problem is that coolant is getting pumped out from the overflow tube beside the radiator. My shee would remove all the coolant in the coolant system in 5 minutes. Water is just getting pumped out of the overflow tube. The more i rev it the more the amount of water geting pumped. Is there other gasket other than the orings that could be worn and causing the problem. Could it be the rad cap Or maybe there is a hole in my transfers in which air fuel mix is getting inside the water jackets. Any theories or solution would be appreciated. I would clarify anythin that is not clear. I just want to ride the shee Thanx in advance

Clutch hard to pull in, need help
screamin_banshee_2003 replied to petenorth's topic in Banshee Repairs and Mods
if the clutch pull hard then probably a heavy duty springs are equiped in ur shee. If u want it to pull smoother then buy an easy pull lever with perch from fast (a sponsor of the hq) And lube your the clutch cable or even change it If your shee is jumpin forward when put in gear then you should adjust the arm where the clutch cable is hooked under the left carb. It should align with the arrow on the crank case. Look if there is a sag on the clutch lever you may get away without adjustin the arm What are your mods. -
shee acting wierd
screamin_banshee_2003 replied to sa3ood_banshee's topic in Banshee Repairs and Mods
hala wa'3ala Pull the choke on the carb and try it at wide oped throttle at all gears and if it was better then you are lean. If u just had only pipes and pods u would be way rich. Try using 290 or 300 main jet And also return the needle to the normal position no need to play with it 7abtain -
HELP with jetting PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE
screamin_banshee_2003 replied to mesa banshee's topic in Jetting & Exhaust Forum
for the main thats way high I was running 350 jets witha 4mil ported eng on the stock carbs If u are running the pods filter that hook up to the carb u should be around 300-320 Just removed the cover of the airbox I would say 290 or 300 The elevation and temp also plays a roll in jetting For temp. When it is cold u go up a size on the main jet ... Warmer down a size Goin 2 higher elev. Drop a size.. Goin to lower elev go up one size If it is hard 2 start change your ngk plugs. Ibet they are blacked out and soaked with the fuel mixture -
banshee still overheating
screamin_banshee_2003 replied to killshee's topic in Banshee Repairs and Mods
hmmm Did u ever disconnected the hoses from the overflow coolant container under the seat. There are two black hoses one is connected up and the other down. U may switched them while re installing. I did that once. U would loose coolant if that was the issue.
