  1. Last I knew there was a forum for this......... Its called the WANTED section..... May wanna check there
  2. Denny: Sarcastic or not your comments are unwarranted.... Do you have any idea why there are so FEW (1) long travel kits for the banshee? (especially out of ALL the manufacturers) The frame and suspension on the banshee are set op completely wrong... And I honestly dont see anyone selling one thinking that it is a real long travel design. Sure they ALL do/did.... but why is it that the Gibson LT set up is the ONLY one on the market that has ZERO bumpsteer? And thats even running zero degree camber. Now tell me that bumpsteer doesnt matter in racing. I also didnt discount anyone elses R&D... No two a-arms are the same, and I would never compare them as so.... So if I just grabbed some 4130 and a tig they would be just as good as Quicksand's or Gibson or Roll? I'd be willing to bet w/ my backround and knowledge that I could make some a-arms.... So is that the same? As for costs.... Roll Lobo II with shocks are 2995.00 while Gibson's w/ TOP of the line Axis shocks are like 2400.00.... guess they arent the most expensive now... The reason not too many people use LT setups in XC is because of body roll... and they arent designed for that purpose in mind. These are set up to be wide and low... Not what one would want for XC. I dont think I've ever seen any pros in GNC or GNCC running Quicksand's..... I wonder why? Does that mean they arent any good? No. I think they make some great products........ Im not trying to start a pissing match...... Id just rather inform people so that they can make an educated decision on their own.
  3. Here is my Shift star thats back cut
  4. Hey man... I've got a star I need modded for a friend... PM me you addy again so I can send it out... I also need your updated email addy for my site (your page) Thanks dude
  5. Actually Rodney and Stan,,,, At the time Howard was running his 330 cyl in March... His son stole that motor from him just before T-day so Howard is back on his 310. They are BOTH great running bikes/motors. When they raced over t-day, they were fairly even with the 330 just a hair ahead at the top of the hill. Rider; No need to say Thanks..... its all good
  6. Stan: It was Howard that your thinking of... and he runs STU paddle brats comp cut. Last I knew they were around 150.00 each WITHOUT the rim. (possibly more) These tires kick ass too... They hook like mad and throw no roost. (great for those high speed train rides) Here is a comparison its a copm cut tire next to one thats uncut. Now I love my Haulers but for anyone that follows behind me they suck (for them) I'd like to compare them on my shee........... but Im so used to the haulers... As for boneheads running them backwards........ rider22 is 100% correct... If your over paddled you can run them in reverse so that you dont bog or bog as much. Im sure that wasnt the case with the 2 fools Wallrat saw tho.
  7. So tell us something about yourself? Where do ya ride. or DO you ride? hehe Where ya from? hehehh Aboot time ya got your ass back in here. Where the hell ya been?
  8. http://roostfest.com/cages.htm everything is there
  9. Denny: this time I have to say you have no idea what your talking about.... How do YOU feel that the "sticker" makes them worth 400.00 more? Do you know how much research and development went into their long travels? While I have seen Quicksand arms and MANY MANY Gibson products I can honestly say there there is a huge difference in products. I am not discounting any of the QS stuff... But there is no way in hell I would ever compare the two as the same.... This is comparing LT to LT and not just standard travel arms. There is no special "engineering" in standard travel arms. So I am not comparing those. While I agree that a LT Gibson setup for the banshee would kick ass.... but K&K/ECATV cater to the MX racers... (ie; pros) How many banshees do you see in the pro class? The end of the banshee is near.... So why would they design a LT for something that is very rare on an MX track? Everyone knows that the front of the banshee frame was a poor design (frt suspension) and is not really set up for a "true" LT design. I offered my shee a long time ago to use to design/test/build a LT setup... and I agree w/ Shawn that its not worth the overall investment for a machine that has too many limitations... especially to be competitive on an MX track. Do any of you notice who the MAIN suppliers of LT arms are... and that you dont see many smaller companys producing them? How many LT setups are available for the banshee??? There is a WHOLE bunch more work involved in designing and building a TRUE LT front end. Last I knew Gibson was the ONLY company to produce a LT set up that had NO, nadda, ZIP, zero bump steer in ALL of its travel. (approx a year ago)I am sure others have done their best in the past year to compete and update their products. As for catering to a "wealthy" racer.... Its more of they arent whoring themselves out like everyone else does. If you notice the ONLY dealers for Gibson products are ECATV and K&K... Why make everyone and their brother a dealer so that they can just drop their pants and give shit away?
  10. Actually "Gibson" is a partnership between K&K atv and Eastcoast atv. ALL of the Gibson products are produced in Mass.....
  11. I will be out at Dumont next week. We should be arriving on wed evening and staying until sunday..... Unfortunatly I wont have my shee... but then again.. JUST being there is worth everything

  14. First off..... I cant even remember how many times I've delt w/ NYUK.... Each and every time has been flawless..... Only once I remember him contacting me about a check he sent me that I forgot to cash... It had to have been over a month old... THATS how much I trust him... Any and all transactions should go that easy.... All hail NYUK! As for the note on the box..... heh I wonder if I can find a pic of the one I sent him... it all started w/ Reas....... ahh the good ole days
  15. Dammm dude... You get around pretty good for being 99 Happy belated Birfday dude!
  16. Anyone notice that the all blue 2000-2001 banshee is not listed on that page? I know they made them because I parted a few of them out.... Whats the deal?
  17. first off....... I'm far from scared... second I did PM you and Rodney..... Last week. I was having ISP issues last week too.... Maybe something got screwed up. I lost a few PM's and others were back that I deleted off I have one left... The one thats on my shee now.. Get it while you can! Looks as if I may have to go back to a +6.... the +4 just wont cut it.
  18. Lets make a deal~ hehe You want both?
  19. Time to clean up some space... I have a set of aluminum nerfs w/ blue nets. They mount at the foot peg bolts and have been modded to work with stock pegs or blaster pegs. I also have 2 MP racing +4 chrome round housing swingarms. One is set up for a marvin shaw rear shock but is now able to run both stock and a marvin. One swingarm was mounted but NEVER used. The other has 2 rides on it. The pivot bearings are brand new in both. They also come w/ front chain slides. I will post pics later of the nerfs and can also post pics of the swingarms. EDIT: I mis typed the topic header.. they are +4's and NOT +2's
  20. Most helmets now a day are made from either CF or a mix of SMC/fiberglass/composite material. Now... Lacquers and Enamels use a great amount of solvents which in turn can soften or weaken the material. Most newer products are urethane based but many use very agressive solvents. I would assume that all hemlet manufacturers do not want the liability issues when a helmet fails due to someone painting it. Its easier to point the blame elsewhere. You could use almost any newer automotive grade paint system, but I would be more picky since I know which ones are more agressive or solvent based.
  21. Talked to Chris today... He said he doesnt see any reason why he cant do them. Only problem he could see is if there was a problem getting parts. And as for a cost... That would depend on what the shocks need once apart.
