  1. Justin: according to my map program its 276 miles from the intersection of I-8 and 67. 1 to 2 jet sizes should do it... but always best to bring plenty with you and jet when your there (temp, humidity, elevation ect) transportation gas is well worth the investment into a new ride location.
  2. Cabinboy: this is just how the HQ should be... One homie helpin another... Not the first time I've sent parts for free.... and wont be the last.
  3. Stan: Those dutch ovens KICK f'n ASS! Last New years in Glamis a friend of the group made MANY meals/desserts in one... Lets just say I didnt want to go home. Make it out to Dumont and you will be able to enjoy some of them too! this talk about food is makin my stomach scream!
  4. Meat: What do you need in trade for a few lbs? I guess I ate it wrong.. I cut it in chunks about 1" at a time, and since I dont drink beer I had a nica tall glass of Ice Water... As a friend would say... it was almost as good as sex If that was the garlic.. then I'd love to try the regulars.. Im not into the hot/spicy stuff benbb: These are worth trading something for Thanks again Meat!
  5. Im pretty sure I have a set or two... shoot me off your mailing addy and they are yours... I will ship them from work tomorrow.
  6. K&K atv has a few... (used) I dont know their prices but you can give them a call on monday. I was lookin at 2 of them last week so I know they should stiil have them. 1-413-323-7044 Anyone there should be able to help you but Johnny would know best
  7. I've been told there is a main hill called "Comp" that everyone races on (day and night) Ive never been to Dumont yet either... but I hear the bowls are as big or bigger... Some steeper hills, and is mostly razorbacks. Led: Ask stan about the pics... We have quite a bit of fun on our dune trips.... hehhe
  8. Well....... Meat sent me my RZ tranny w/ a special treat in the box... One home made Soupie. I think there was a tranny in the box but I havent gotten that far yet... I should have taken a pic of it.... but lets just say there isnt anything left after maybe 10 minutes. They are Soooooooooooooooooooooooooooo F'n good. Can I order maybe 5lbs of Soupies Meat??? THANK YOU!! I wish I could explain the flavor of these things... I feel like Homer Simpson drooling over a doughnut
  9. Nutz: Hmmm Your in Enfield huh.... small world since I am too.... As for boring your cyls... DO NOT take them to Enfield motor sports. Bring them up to REP in west springfield. I can get you the # if need be. New England cycle center in Hartford can too... but they arent cheap! I dont know of any others in the area that I trust OR that uses a boring bar. If your looking for a few low buck mods then I would have someone shave the head and rechamber the domes and advance your timing +4 deg. You will be very pleased with it when your all done. Is your shee white/red? Did you run down Lake rd last weekend w/ someone on the back and w/ a few dirtbikes????
  10. I thought I would post asking again since the old post is no longer on the server... or at least I am too stupid to find it. I'm looking at shipping my banshee out to Vegas in March for Roostfest/BHQ gathering. I did a quick search on Google and I didnt find the ones I heard about in the past. The only one I remember was www.forwardair.com Does anyone else remember some of the other companies that ship cross country? I would prefer someone that has their own containers, but I will make my own if I have too. Thanks in advance
  11. Stan: Its a friends LTZ-400. He said "I'll be able to ride it out"!! hehe needless to say he had to pick it up out of the hole. He is the ONE guy in the group thats a major wiseass. He swears that Suzuki makes the best atv's ever. We seem to get a lil "out of control" at our dune trips. hehe Most of the time we will plan something like a gift exchange like we did over New Years/Glamis. Doug/Guido/LTZ owner ended up w/ this little toy If you think that pic is a classic.. then you should see some of the others we have <g> Most of the time its a toss up between the night time gatherings around the fire and the rides... We have so much fun no one ever wants to go home.
  12. Dammmmmmm No wonder why banshee's are so expensive... Everytime my oil gets dirty I change the motor...
  13. Boonman: I was going to post twice in every forum and then add Polls to each one w/ a link to some outwar sh*t. Then once they were all deleted I woulda posted them again askin why they were deleted, while flaming the hell out of all the moderators for deleting them. Then post single word replys to every topic in each forum. Ya know.. the usual sh*t I cant afford this trip either... between being burried up to my ass at work, a wife that doesnt work and two boys (4 and 1).... Sheesh..... I'm lucky I can afford to pee in a cup Sometimes you just need to say "F it" Your bills will always be there.... Your projects can wait until you return.... But experiencing a trip out west can never be replaced or explained to someone who has never been. My first trip out west was back in 97' I have been addicted ever since. I never want to go through life wishing I did something or regretting I didnt do it, when I had the chance. ( I also need to continue my sand collection from all the dunes I have been too ) Yamahammer: We may get a bit out of control around the campfire but one thing is we all watch out for each other when out in the dunes. We normally have people in our group that race and others that rather take a Sloooooow dune ride. Were there to have fun go home in one piece.
  14. Wallrat: There may be a few women there,,, some you would pay to put cloths back on or wives that..... well lets just say I know mine wouldnt go for it. Someone on my email list had said something about bringing a few strippers w/ him... but I think thats doubtfull. NOT like I would turn them away tho Yamahammer; My group that has been getting together for the last few years is always considerate of newbies. When we go out on a dune ride the leader knows how to keep everyone together but still make it an enjoyable ride. Everyone watches out for each other.
  15. Moderators: Thank you for moving this... I wanted it in the "general" for the most visability but I think we have mostly everyones attention... Wallrat: I dont know if we have to have a forum dedicated for just roostfest, but if one of the mods could make this a "sticky note" so its always at the top. On my site I also have a link to an email list dedicated just for "roostfest". Just so you know that there are already people part of the email list that have been friends for many years.. so you will see some "odd" stuff from time to time in your inbox I wish I had the time and extra $ to have T-shirts made up like the last one... maybe next time.... I dont think there will be many females there for a wet t-shirt contest either BenBB: Not to rub it in or anything... but this is some of what you missed out on over Roostfest -Oklahoma http://www.roostfest.com/rfpics.htm Here are some of the things we do for fun At 2am in the morning when someone forgot to lock his Quad up... this is what happens. If you guys think thats good... you should see the pics of the "party at my place" in Oklahoma. I think I may hold that link for now...... I dont know if you guys can handle it
  16. heheheh I'm sure anyone else that is married can appreciate that comment
  17. Led: I too want to hit Utah, Idaho and Coral pnk. Ohh and back to Glamis a few more times I know what you mean about finances.... priorities suck... but well.... we have to live by something. We have 105 days, 17 hours, 18 minutes, and 19 seconds left until ROOSTFEST 2004 Dumont! Lets start this planning now... chozen1: Ive been told that the dunes are mainly razorbacks but are safe to ride since they are more predictable than Glamis. Some hills are steeper and there are other areas that are more "tame" for those w/ less duning experience. Maybe Azsandrat or Blue_Duece can desribe them better since I've never been to Dumont as of yet
  18. Ben: Mapquest says its a lil over 800 miles from your place. Dumont is located just north of Baker Ca. mapquest-Dumont Dates are set for March 4th to the 7th. and yes it has been 2 years already!!! Led: Distance is a figment of your imagination hehe This will be my 3rd trip to Cali, Ive been to Little Sahara Ok once and Silverlake Mi 2 or 3 times. Michigan is 900 miles one way for me and Little Sahara was 1700 miles one way. Just remember you only go through life once.... Dont regret anything, and do it now while you can. If everyone is interested I will do all the planning....
  19. Back on topic.... Your right... NYUK is annoying, cause he tells things like it is... He holds nothing back, You always know where you stand with him. he ALWAYS pays for his parts or ships them when he says.... Yea your right... I guess that would be considered annoying if your a lazy sob
  20. Question is..... Do you swallow???
  21. As the topic states.... If not I will drop it and let it go. I'm going out to Dumont in March. I will plan the whole thing IF people are interested. The last trip (roostfest) I planned we had a great turn out and a bunch of give-aways from a few different vendors. The date has already been set by our group so unfortunatly that cant be changed or the location. If I see interest then I will continue w/ planning another BHQ ride/meet/what ever, if not then I wont bother anyone anymore. Anyone???
  22. Stan: My shee sat from Sept 2001 until a month ago. I had flooded the motor w/ WD-40 way back in 01'. It took me a few days to get all the WD out of the motor. Once that was done 2 kicks later it was running I let her warm up slowly and fully cool down. (1 heat cycle) after that I gave her hell. I felt if it blows up... then I will know what went wrong I agree w/ Boonman... Keep the swearing and tool tossing to a minimum. I gave mine a lil pat on the tank and said "Come on baby". I just wish that worked on my wife..... Thats a different story and a whole new topic
  23. JT: My friends over at K&K atv just parted out an entire 2001. Give them a call or drop em an email. I know they have what you need.
  24. Evil: I dont think there is anything wrong w/ the current choices of Mods. I know I wouldnt want to be a moderator.... I dont want to come here and police the place like its a "job" so to speak. I come here to unwind from the day and help who I can. Hopefully the site stays the same. I know exactly how you feel... and I am sure no one would think any less of you if you wanted to step down from you position. Ummm We are ATV riders! to hell w/ those 2 wheelers Come on people.... Lets just kick back and have some fun!!
