Chase: I'm sure you mean the large helical gear on the basket.... but also check the small gear located near the center of the backside of the basket. My last basket started to come apart there as well... I had upgraded to a hinson but the center was still from the OE basket. I actually had to cut up another good basket for the center small gear/hub. Yes there are other baskets out there... Ive had bad luck w/ the Moose brand... They are also made under a different name.. I just cant think of it right now. Good luck.

wtf is wrong w/ mIRC? Its ALL I use and have never had a problem with it. To use the java chat and Windoz XP, you will need to install 2 java programs. The 2 java applications you need I have uploaded to my site. They are the bottom 2 files. http://www.roostfest.com/apps.htm They are named Jerry1 and Jerry2 Install the second one first and then the other.... All you will need to make sure you have all the java files needed with windoz XP. You are now adble to do anything w/ java related sites. For some unknown reason Mickysoft never included any java files/applications w/ windoz XP or 2000 Got1: You could be typing in the box/window that is used to change your nickname. Do not type your text into the nickname box.... -

Jim: Thank you for clearing that up for me... I hope you didnt take my post wrong, since that was not my intention. Sorry Justin: I'm not saying to sand off all your anodizing... All your trying to do is verify that the head plate is flat and true. Also... The area that you would be sanding is what mates up against the cyls. No where it would be visable.

Wallrat: I have a deal for you!!! If you can get ahold of a conversion kit or fab your own.. I have a set of ATV Racing's upper a-arms w/ replaceable balljoints and heims. The only thing with these a-arms is that it uses 2 bolts to hold them in place. I will try to find a pic later to show you. These a-arms are in great shape and need nothing but a new owner and maybe a fresh coat of paint. There may be some pics on my site from the conversion pics I took... I'll see what I can find for pics. Let me know if your interested.

Banshee Hq Riders Meeting At Dumont !

UPDATE w/ directions Here is a map Terry found. http://www.sandbros.com/ridetrips/roostfest04/dumont.jpg If you follow the blue line which is the road in. This blue line ends at about the top of a hill you you will drive up. This hill is right after a creek crossing. Once at the top of this hill you will be in a huge flat area with dunes in front of you a couple miles out. To get to camp (C5 in the grid on the map) you will need to continue on the dirt road about 1.5 miles (from the top of the hill). The road makes a slight turn to the left. When you see first bath on the left but second one total as there is one on the right that's first turn left off the road. We will be on the LEFT side of the road a few hundred yards. Look for my small enclosed trailer with a RoostFest and K&K banner. (I am pretty sure I still have a K&K banner from last year). These banners will be facing the road. I am sure Terry can give more precise directions and maybe GPS coordinates soon. Here is a link to the official Dumont page: http://www.ca.blm.gov/barstow/dumont.html That info came from the email list. Hopefully we will have a better description soon. Who wants to take bets that Banchetta wont wanna go home? -

Justin: Didnt you say you just had Passion do the porting w/ boost ports? Have you removed the intakes? I hate saying this so please do NOT take it the wrong way. Ive seen it happen in the past and Im not saying that what Jim from Passion did caused it.. but its possible. When adding boost ports its "possible" to hit a water jacket. This could also cause a water leak. BUT if the water is shooting from between the head/cyl then you may have other serious issues. As Fixitrod stated.... I would start off by verifying that the head/cyl tops are flat and true. Do you have any 400 or 600 grit sandpaper? You will also need a piece of FLAT steel. Tape the sheet of paper on the steel and run the domes and head plate in a figure 8 motion over the sandpaper a few times. Pick up the dome or head plate and look around the plate/dome and make sure that all the marks are even. If you see a discolored area or a spot that doesnt match the cross hatch marks, then there is your problem.. If you need another set of O-rings let me know and I can ship them off when ever

I have the Sony DSC-P1... besides having shitty battery life, I love mine! Im pretty sure its 3.5 mega-pixel. I know it takes some KILLER still shots, but trying to take an action shot is a major PITA!

Cinders? I hear its awesome, but will eat a set of paddles in a day. There are some pics over at Guido's website (from the email list) www.quadracer.com I know there are more... but my mind isnt working yet... Its too early in the morning. If you post this to the email list, I know you will get a few answers since there are a bunch of people from AZ on the list

909: are you out of your mind? I have NEVER been on ANY banshee that shifts as good as a banshee w/ RZ forks. I dont care what you do to a banshee tranny... (besides an over ride) it will not shift anywhere near as good as one with RZ forks. The RZ forks drop right in... and yes there is a roller where the fork rides in the drum.

Justin: How do you install the o-rings? You dont need a LOT of grease... too much can cause it to move too.. At worse I have a few stock head gaskets.... I can send you one so you can put your stock head back on for the trip. Once everyone gets out to the dunes we could change the head there and get a good look at everything to make sure all is well Did you get a good look at the face of the head that mates to the cyls? Make sure it wasnt dropped or if there are any cracks.. Im not saying you did this... but I have seen people install a head and they didnt get everything lined up as needed and as they torqued the head down they cracked it.... Or even put a gouge into one of the plates/domes and instant water leak.... If its apart now I would recommend getting a VERY close look at all the parts.... Keep us updated w/ what you find after the leak down test

Post what the problem is here.... digital pics... explanations of what you did and what has been done.... Lets see if we can help ya... What o-rings do you need? I have a few spare sets....

fixitrod: Do NOT feel bad about creating a new post.... I have been thinking of this for the last few days myself. One that is strictly about the trip/dates/times/locations/plans and anything important to the trip. The other topic has a lot of great info but hard to wade through... efward: Its easier to ask for forgiveness than it is to ask for permission... So just go and worry about the consequenses later. Her and the baby will be home by then and your work was done roughly 9 months ago... So now its her turn! (this is easy for me to say since I've been in those shoes before... and yes my wife owns my nuts too) hehehehhehehe Boon.... I dont know what the problem is yet.... but DO not give up THAT easy... You have NOT been ruled out just yet BenBB: Now thats the spirit! I can say this... My last trip was almost a bust from the 9-11 attacks.... (I left during the attacks on the WTC) Come HELL or high water will anything stop me from this trip. I can say this.... Some towel head trys to take over my flight to Vegas.... Shit WILL get ugly! Stan: You ARE going... and If I have to I will start calling you each and every day until you give me a color code... I'm sure I can get your # from the net So DO NOT push me! 43 days, 16 hours, 43 minutes, and 51 seconds left until ROOSTFEST 2004 Dumont -

Just for anyone that is worried about this.... If you dont want your contact info given out then please let me know.. At least one person should have this info if your going alone. I wont be giving this info out to just anyone. It will only be used in an emergency (which I hope never happens) Since Dumont is near Death Valley, Im sure that cell service may be limited. One of my friends going normally has a satellite phone from work. (emergency use only) Boon: if you have been on the list, then Im sure your a lil confused... Most of the storys your hearing will all make sense once you meet these guys Drop a msg to the list so we know your there
