Everyone.. Please keep this topic on track. Here we will keep all the needed info for this trip/gathering.. First off I just uploaded some pics to the site with semi directions and a pic of what to look for. Direct link to that page here http://www.roostfest.com/rf04-2.htm Anything anyone else would like to add? I will try to make a small table of who will be arriving, when, and with what they will be driving. Anyone who is going can you please post that info here so I can add it to my site. Thank you

One thing you can count on is NYUK coming through w/ what he says.... You can bet your ass (no punn intended) he will do what he says, and this should be a mental note to anyone thinking about stiffing him on ebay or in here

Question For Twist Throttle Regretters
banshee370 replied to erbilabuc's topic in Banshee Repairs and Mods
All you will need is a new cable from motion pro that uses the stock thumb throttle to stock carbs (w/o tors) I dont know the # off the top of my head but any atv shop thats worth a dam should know just what you need. K&K has them in stock since I just got one last week for someone... I just dont have the invoice or part # handy -
I have a mint 99 frame and a-arms if your interested... Pics can be seen at www.roostfest.com/4sale.htm There is a difference in the swingarm/carrier but nothing that would matter if you were planning on using the older swingarm/carrier together. (the difference is the mounting bolts and connecting tubes for the carrier) The older banshee's use 4 bolts to hold the carrier and the newer ones use 2 long bolts that go all the way through. The newer bikes also had a small running board attached to the pegs and subframe. (also not an issue) Other than that they only changed the harness/plugs on the newer bikes.

I would like to get 500 shipped for the frame... Its in near perfect shape. I may even keep the frame and swap it out with mine.. Its that clean -
Ok this is the first time I've had a chance to read this topic. I'm all for it! I dont remember if we ever did a Coalfest last year, so why dont we make it this year? I need some info on where Hazelton or Shamokin is located from Palmerton. More than likely I'll be coming w/ someone else that has ridden some of the places mentioned. I say we pick an off weekend so that local authorities arent an issue. As for Boonman... I'll send someone to hunt him down if he backs out of this trip. I wont know when will be a good time for me until I get back from Dumont, so if we can hold off picking a date until the middle of March. That would be great.

The bike is now completely torn down to a bare frame. Photos of everything can be seen at http://roostfest.com/4sale.htm 1_bansheenutt: the front wheels may be sold. As soon as I hear back from who wanted them I will let you know if they are sold or not. Everything on this bike is very clean and overall in great condition. I will be pressure washing everything this week and will upload better images. -

dirtbike killer 100 shipped since they are in very good shape. Is that fair? Meat: I need a truck right now more than a spare bike .. I sold the dodge so its now time for a new truck Though I'd love a spare bike... its just not priority right now. I gave someone a quote for 200.00-225.00 for the complete plastic w/o the seat. (shipped) To add in the seat I will say around 275.00-300.00 shipped. Shipping is the issue since the seat may have to be shipped seperately due to box size and shipping location. Just the seat I will do 75.00 shipped big blue; I have someone that will give me 100 + shipping. Its up to you since you asked first. -

efward; Both of those files are untouched from their makers..... If they are not JRE's then what are they? j2re-1_3_1_01-win.exe is from java.sun and is a direct replacement for MS's JRE. Yes its an older version, but still works w/o any problems msjavx86.exe was taken right from MS's site to enable java applications in XP/2K. Now I'm not saying I am some PC wiz or anything.. but in all the PC's Ive built in the last year... any of them requiring the use of any java related files would not work until either of those files were installed. If you know of a JRE that is JUST that and nothing more... I would be interested in it. I would be willing to bet its from Java.sun or MS.com........ I would just like to know why its not working for some others here... Ive never had a problem using IRC,, and java is just a pita.. Meat: I just got finished building 2 more pc's both w/ XP and on a cable connection behind a hardware & software firewall... I was able to join chat via java and IRC w/o any and I mean ANY problems. If RZ is not in chat then the room is java only since you will be unable to join an un-managed channel through mIRC. -
It was last year or the year before that the state of connecticut took in a total of 1.25 MILLION dollars in Sales/Property taxes on ATV's. According to the state of Ct.... The $ collected went towards opening state land of ORMV use. There is NO legal land to ride on... It has now become so bad that we can be ticketed for noise pollution on OUR own land AND for riding an unregistered atv (If its not registered) EVEN though its YOUR own land! An MX racer that lives in the southern part of the state opend up his OWN private property to others as an "off road park" It was a very secluded area with a long (private) dirt road entrance. Before it was opened the state shut him down for several reasons (noise and what ever else they could find) He then let "friends" ride there w/ his permission and w/o having to pay any "fees". His "friends" were ticketed for riding on private property even though they had permission to ride there... My question is... Who gave the DMV/DNR/EPA officers permission to enter private property? Isnt that tresspassing itself?? How can someone be ticketed for riding WITH PERMISSION on private land?? The state then closed access to his private road... Something that is illegal for the state to do... I could go on about this but it will just end up pissing me off to no end... Just another reason why I want to leave this pisshole of a state. BLAH!!!!!!!!!!

efward: Just so you know I would NEVER EVER upload some junk to my server/site. One of those files is from http://java.sun.com/ and the other is directly from mickysofts website. Microsoft stopped bundling the JRE with XP and 2000, You can not run any java files w/i this installed. -

You guys have to be kidding me..... You can rip a shee down to a bare frame,, split cases,,, but you cant get a simple chat program to work? I agree. the newer versions of mIRC are loaded full of shit.... thus why I run an older version myself. Are you guys running any firewalls? Cable/DSL modems? Behind a router? The only times I have a problem joining chat via mIRC is when RZ isnt in chat. When there is no moderator present you will NOT be able to join through an IRC client. Meat: You stated you have Win XP.... do you have Service pack 1 installed? Have you done all the windoz updates? By the way... Once an IRC client is set up... there is no need to change anything.. click on it and your in... done. Its that easy Do I need to call each of you guys to set your pc's up right??? -
h300f: I found mine loose when I was assembling my MP motor. Even though I knew the answer I called Dave Moore and asked his opinion. With that gear loose it can cause the clutch basket to wobble and or excessive vibration. That can take out the cases or the main bearing on the tranny shaft. With as high strung as my motor is.. I didnt want to take chances. If yours is loose... I would look into getting a new clutch hub.

holyman: Those a-arms are made to fit atvracing's weld in conversion kit. The only thing different about their kit is that you dont hack off the rear half of the front j-arm mount. And when the kit is welded in there is a rear mount that is seperate from the front. The stock uper a-arms are solid all the way across. They feel this is stronger than one mount where all the stress on the frame is at the front and back mount where this kit has basicly 4 points where the a-arms connect to the frame. (either side of the bolts) The heims are in great shape as w/ the balljoints. I would doubt if there was more than 50 hours on these a-arms.
