The 250 sound like a good deal. I'm about the same size and I would buy nothing less than a 250. I ride a CR500.

Ok give us the scope what are these pipes good for low end top end? I have two into one moto-fast every time we go some where new people want to know how do you get a banshee to sound like that. Love that sound

I rode bikes from age 8 . Bought my first quad in 1986 and the first thing i did was change to a twist throttle and have had them every since. Have never had any problems or dangerous situation caused by the twist throttle and I'm now 46 :biggrin:

I was in the shop tonight cleaning cases to start an engine build it came to me to build something to hold the bottom case during assembly. So here is my idea just a flat plate 1/4 material with holes drilled in it to mount to the bottom engine struts holes and the oil drain plug I had to make 7/8 spacers to go between the case and the plate where it mounts to the strut holes. Welded another piece of 1/4 plate on the bottom to clamp it in my vice. I held the plate back so you can get to all of the bolts on the bottom. So what is everyone else using if anything. I'm tired of chasing a motor around the work bench. Thanks Tim I'll take pic's tomorrow (it's late)

I have had to replace second gear twice in about 4 years the dogs on the side of the gear wear out . But you can usally hear it slipping it makes a clicking noise very easy to hear other than that the bike runs fine. I can only guess there is a heavy load shifting from first to second I have repaced all the bearings and the shaft the gears ride on and the gear second meshes with. This time I bought a used tranny alot cheaper. Good luck

I bought a used motor for the trans and cylinders tore it down and the crank is good except for the bearing on the fly wheel side is burnt up the the rods are good the center bearings are good where is a good place to send it and have it repaired new bearings trued and welded and what does this usally cost or is it worth doing at all. How can i tell if it is a stock crank or after market the motor has been apart before there was case sealer every where. The guy told me it was rebuilt and blew up just after it was finished. I'm assuming it was an air leak on the right side. thanks Tim

I bought these cylinders to put togather a bike for my son. Had them checked at a machine shop with a bore gauage to see if they need bored here are the numbers tell me what you think. The second numbers are 90 degree's to the first at about the same height. all measurments are in inches. Cylinder #1 2.561 2.5614 2.5603 2.5634 2.5606 2.5616 Cylinder #2 2.5614 2.5635 2.5616 2.5645 2.5613 2.5624 Do you think I can get away with just a hone and new 65mm pistons and rings if so where is the best place to get a set of wiseco prolites. ok I will be the dumbass how do you port match the cases to the cylinders it sounds obvious but lets here it.

I have a 40mm lectron it is a old moto fast set up it works great and is depedable my top end has lasted for years with just ring changes ( but i don't ride a lot any more) :thumbsup:

I'm putting togather a motor from parts for my son. I bought a roller with a scattered motor the guy had taken apart the motor. I have the clutch basket with the gear but do not have the crank gear are they a matched set or can i pick up a crank gear from any motor and use it. I have read or been told in the past they are a matched set and should not be interchanged? Thanks Tim
