shearer's look the best jmo, they look like a set of t-5's or fatty's on steroids. then I say cpi's look ok with rockets last. also shearer are $450 chrome while cpi & rockets are $550 chrome.
read this post, it was on sandtrax dyno it made 70+hp at the wheels on gas with stock carbs, +5 timing, noss head and vforce 2

damn you are still messing with your jetting, havent you had that passion stuff for months now?
just goes to show that passion stuff is very hard to tune.
they work good, if you are really on a budget and have the tools then go for it. It took me about 10 hrs to do both cylinders. You might want to check out http://www.eric-gorr.com/ he will port both cylinders for cheap and it will be fast.
so you are making 72hp with stock stroke and his cheap port job? Thats awesome considering that his 12 port 4 mil stroker made 77, you are the man! Where did you get it dynoed at?
I had the same problem, take the old ones to a place like ACE hardware and match them up with some that are stainless steel and hex head top. What I did was grind the front part that actually goes against the slide into a point.
