  1. 80w??? Good God... thats way too thick IMO. I bet that thing is a bear to start in the cold with that syrup in the crank case. I have been using valvoline ATV 10w/40 with great results. 2 or 3 bucks a quart.
  2. Neither Yamaha or Clymer lists a compression number. 100 PSI and lower or a 10% difference between each jug you should do a top end rebuild. My banshee is a 2000 and has 130 PSI in each jug. 120 PSI and over is a good reading. Hope this helps.
  3. I installed a tusk kit with the springs this summer and it is holding up well. So far so good.. Cant beat the price..
  4. Honda trail 50 then traded it in on a brand new 1983 suzuki ALT 125 3 wheeler. First atv with reverse.
  5. Anybody been checking out the auto auction? Some nice rides coming through there!!! If only I could have been born into the DuPont family or somthing...
  6. F.U.B.A.R. (Fucked Up Beyond All Recognition) Old one I know...
  7. I wonder if the warranty is an issue?
  8. I have a Fujifilm FinePix 2650 2.0 megapixel. Not the best but it does what I need. I can tell you all that it is a durable little camera though!! Left it sitting on the six pack rack one day. Took off around the yard and the poor camera tumbled half way across my yard! I have dropped it on concrete along with numerous other "surfaces". Tough little bastard..
  9. I agree... stupid post.. You said a stock 250r and a stock banshee...If the 250r has a pipe and bored 60 over and you have nitrous then neither of them are "technically" stock...Right? I raced a 250r with my shee last spring and all I had was a K&N filter. He had a pipe and filter and it was a tight race. Just because the 250 is 100cc and 1 jug less dont count it out.
  10. Exaclty --Z400. You should have asked him why the "real quad" doesnt have grease fittings..LOL
  11. All it takes is a little commen sence and some respect for other peoples property. You will grow up one of these days. You are lucky one of the mailboxes didnt come through the windshield. I saw on tv about a year ago where somebody hit a mailbox doing about 40-50 and the mailbox came right through the windshield and damn near killed the kid. That took balls to get on here and tell that story...
  12. Very true. Thats about all I have.. Filter,Pipes. Thats why I want to do this now before it takes a complete shit on me. Was your engine running when you tore it apart? Mine is making a roaring noise. Been running it like that since I got it. Hasnt gotten any worse but I dont like it nevertheless. I think I will go on one more ride so I can burn this fresh tank of gas. I am scared that I will run into more problems.. I suffer from "big deal syndrome". In otherwords everything I ever try to do turns out to be a big deal.. I sure hope the shee has some sympothy on me...
  13. They have to be better than what my shee came with. When I get my new tires I am gonna burn the stockers up on the road until they basically pop. Damn i hate these tires...
  14. WOW $200? DAYUUM. That seems high to me. Of course I have never had it done so I really dont know. I sure hope I can get it done cheaper than that. Of course by the time I pay to ship this thing out and return shipping I might have that much into it myself. Thanks for the reply.
  15. I put a new o-ring and lubed mine up at the begining of the summer and it is still rattle free. After a rebuild try spraying wd-40 on the o-ring every once and a while to keep it moist. You might also want to try a slightly thicker o-ring. Thats the only thing I can figure as to why mine has lasted so long.
  16. After having a k&n for a while before I got a prefilter I have to say that I will never run without the outterwear again. I havent had to clean my K&N in a while now. Just pull the outterwear and shake it off. There is basically no loss of air flow. If it is you will never be able to tell.
  17. Well I guess I have to send this crank out to have welded. I called the machine shop (only one in this area) and they had no idea what I was talking about. Anybody have suggestions of who to send it to when I get it out? Thanks
  18. Shortys,Thats exactly what it sounds like. Growling. Ohhhhhh shit, I guess I better plan on taking this thing apart before it is too late. Will my local machine shop be able to do this or should I seek somebody who has experience with welding these cranks? Anything else I should do while I have her split open? I guess a top end is a must as well? damnit.....Oh well better that I find out now and do it before it is too late.
  19. This really answers my questions... Thanks guys... Is this the blaster forum?? I guess I need a few more beers... Will be back in a bit..
  20. Does the raptor and YFZ have fittings? AS many times as I have sat on them on the showroom I never even looked.
