I went for a ride on my shee today and it rips like never before. She ran good in the summer but bogged a little,now that it is cold she is absolutely awesome! I think I am running 300-310s. I have K&nW/outterwear, pipes (not sure what kind) stock silencers. I guess my jetting is perfect for cold weather and a little rich for warmer weather? Also if anybody can PLEASE help me distinguish what kind of pipes I have I would be forever grateful! There are no marking whatsoever. I got them off ebay cheap.I will try to get a pic. posted if I can figure it out.

I know that I am a newbie here but I still ask that you all help these guys out.. They were blamed for releasing info and pics about the new 6.1 Hemi. They work with the LH platform and had nothing to do with the release of the 6.1 HEMI pictures... I understand that this isnt banshee related but I beg you all to at least take a look... These guys were screwed..... Please help.....I also know that this will probably will be moved to another forum.. Moderators... Please understand that I am trying to help out some people that I know and trust. Other than a banshee I also own a 01 Dodge Intrepid and am a member at that site. The other members of the online community, sensitive to the position the two guys were in, did not pressure the guys to reveal secrets. Now there was a secret revealed - by someone else. That secret was posted on a different online community and a different member of the online community the two guys belonged to posted the information. The big company, needing a scapegoat, decided to make an example of the two guys. It seems there was some sort of technicality that the guys had infringed on. They probably deserved a warning or perhaps even a formal reprimand. However, as of this writing, the two guys are in jeopardy of losing their jobs after many years of loyalty and dedication to the company. What ultimately happens remains to be seen. Just to update. I called DG and they sent me a couple clamps and screws free of charge!! Also included 5 DG stickers. Imagine that!!! Something free....

I will stick with my mobil 1 then. Hasnt failed me yet..

I will look into it. The only 2 stroke I have ever had any experience with is my weed eater. I used basically any 2 stroke oil avaliable. Now with the shee I though Mobil 1 synthetic would work. If there is better oil I will certainally use it. I am not one to think anything I use is the best. You all are the experts... If you all say there is a better oil for my shee I will get it.. Thanks...

castor 927??? I have never seen it... Course I am new to 2 strokes... I run mobil 1 synthetic 2 stroke oil. Is this any good?? Its alot better than what the previous owner(my cousin) used... Quaker state, 10w.30...chainsaw oil...LOL whatever oil he could put in it.. He is 15... Say no more....

LOL thats not what I wanted to hear Sick Boy...I ran her a little while today and it actually seems louder than I described. At idle on the clutch side you can hear it without actually putting your head-ear down there. Again no grinding or anything like that. Runs great! Just sounds like gears turning. When I put my ear close and listen it sounds like it is coming from the back of the crank case. Does this info give any more insight for a diagnosis? I really would hate to break the cases apart because I have never done it before. I am mechanically inclined. I have rebuilt small block chevys and 4 cylinder chevys but this little engine has me scared to death!! I do have the clymer and the factory cd rom manual from ebay. Is there anything I can do to find out what exactly it is without cracking the cases? I of course dont want to find out by letting it go until it breaks. This really has me worried. I was supposed to have another 60 or so mile ride tomorrow. I already canceled because I dont want to break my shee. PLEASE HELP!!!

I change my oil after every 2 or 3 rides and I have a magnetic drain plug. Never been a whole lot of crap on the magnet. Doesnt sound like anything grinding . Just sounds like gears turning. I just didnt know if the gears should be quieter or if I had a problem. My buddies z-400 is real quiet and I started to worry.Thanks

Mine is a 2000 and never been apart. I have 120 in each cylinder as well.

The engine in my shee has made this sound since I have had it. You can hear gears and things turning while at idle around the clutch cover. Is this normal? Its not extremely loud but I didnt think it was normal. I have never been around another shee or heard another one run to see if it makes the same noise as mine. So is it time to start wrenching or what?LOL

I wire brush mine off a few times before I buy a new set. Probably not a good idea either...

LOL that sounds cheap enough... I am at the dg site now and dont see any brackets. I will check ac next I guess. Sux not knowing what kind of skid I have.

I have no idea. It was already on there when I bougt my shee. I have dg a-arm guards and the mounts look the same.

Hope this isnt a dumb question... Last ride I noticed alot of vibration coming from my engine skid. Turns out I am missing the 2 rear mounting brackets and allen bolts. I have done a search on the web to try and find them. No luck.... Anybody know where I can get 2 brackets and the allen head bolts? Thanks in advance..
