Ya, it's prolly cause Im fat ... i thought the 21" stars dug in like a Alabama Tick compared to the Kendas Thats a nice pile O parts!! I would like to give those Edges a try to see how they compare to the straight blades in the same size... Should be a schweet duning combo
-
Go back to the 14T front with either of those choices and you'll be good to go... I went from 15/40 back to 14/41 when I swtiched from 20's to the 21x12-8s and the gearing felt about the same.
-
Stay away from the Sand Stars on anything except for a play bike... They are great tire, last forever and hook well for a V-Blade.. But with your motor you need some Skats! I like the 21x12-8s for a good inbetween tire for Duning/Racing ... they handle a tad better than 22's but still hook like a Mo-Fo (i think mine are 68" rollout) I switched from the Sand Star 21" fronts to the 22" Kenda runners and it made a HUGE difference!!!! They float ohh so much better where the stars would dig in on the soupey dune tops. I would not recommend the Front Sand Stars to anyone because of the improvement I got going to the taller/wider Kendas... It was night and day (I think the biggest you can get S stars & mohawks is 21"?) There might be some other options for 22" fronts out there.. haven't looked for a while.....

Need to ditch the 10" wheels .... 21x12-8s or 22x11-8s should the do the trick in 9 or 10 paddle... I am running a 21x12-8 in 7 paddle full buff and love them. My bike only makes about 60 horse tho.

I got my Elka Dual Rates Dune Edition W/O Resi for $459 new set up for me... Way better than my riding buddies bikes with Works Steelers Never adjusted them.. Bolt up and go... PERFECT!!

I run the 33's PWK and like them.. they tune really easy and stay there. Ive got the brass screws and easy springs from FAST. Have you thought about having your timing plate notched for some advance? That with the Duals would give it a new personality, that made a huge difference on my bike after I had ported and then switched to the duals (ran a 2-1 way back) ... Results may vary depending on how good the pump fuel is in your area! Having a small airport around with self serv pumps helps...

I run AV 100LL mixed 4 gallons to 1 gallon of 91 pump (thats the highest we get in AZ) & Blenzall 455 Ultra @ 24:1 fully biodegradable all natural Soy Bean Oil It is the chit to say the least.. But if you think that castor leaves a mess, you have no business messing with this stuff -
I really want to make a run to Glamis this Friday.. Roll cheap with just the bike n truck and maybe roll out Sat afternoon after riding all day. All of my crew can't make it... I have to work in Yuma on Friday so I'll already be there. Anybody going to be out there that I can camp with? I'm just going to sleep in the truck.... I can be in Glamis by 2:00 on Friday afternoon It's going to be nice out and I need to burn about 13 gallons of fuel before it gets too hot. Anybody? I know you So Cal guys are down to ride!

I just dont see whats so queer about having 6 tasty beverages in a cooler on dune runs Fullbores are one favorite mods.. After looking at the same plastic for 4-5 yrs, I got a set a Fullbores (slighty used @ half price) and it was like getting a whole different bike. Funny thing is most my riding buddies bought brand new Fullbores for $600 bucks, then went home and cut the rear fenders off right away LOL.... I stood there watching saying "there goes $150 bucks, there goes another $150 bucks" -

Ya I will be keeping the 4" HIDs for sure! They are more than I would ever need... although I know exactly what it feels like to outrun your lights in a sandcar I think it would be cool to be able to cruise around and have the option of a small LED light bar.. then switch to the main lights or run both. My 4 inchers are the Optilux ones that are made by Hella.. Got on clearance for $90 ea. They put out 5100 lumens each and have a really cool 35x60 degree beam. That combined with a 1440 lumen lightbar would have to be one of the brightest quad set ups I have ever seen? -
PJ1 makes Yamaha Silver frame paint in a rattle can.. It will match exactly I used some Duplicolor Silver on my light tabs after welding them on... you cant really tell the difference.

Sounds good... I have a problem with my set up and have to take it apart and trouble shoot it... I think my rectifier/regulator might be toast or something. After I get it fixed I will grab one of those bars from ya. I don't think the 8" will fit in the space I am looking at. I want to go flood and angle it down to light up the backside of the razorbacks at the dunes so I can get a better look at what I am about to jump off of... LOL
