  1. What kind of carbs do you have Mikuni??????????????????/Keihin?????????????????????Lectron????????????????????WE NEED MORE INFO!!!!!!!!!!!!
  2. I have a Z400 and love it.....It is an awesome play bike. I can afford any of the 450's and for my type of riding.....I like the Z! And just so you don't think I am a girly man..........if ya wanna race bring it to Mich. I gotta a faster Shee than 99.9999999% of the people on this board. GRAND RIVER RACING BABY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  3. I would say a 50 pilot is waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay to big.....I would start with a 30 and you may end up with a 35.
  4. GRR will make a set of inframes for you........just pick up the phone and make a call.
  5. And going over to the middle east.....where all the really fast stuff seems to end up.
  6. The PS drags are in another month........then we will see if it stands up to all the hype!
  7. I would fab up a 1/2" spacer plate and mount your nozzle in it, or if you have a billet intake mount the nozzle there. As for the fuel question, I run a wet system on my banshee, I run alky thru the carbs and spray mixed gas with the nitrous. Mount your nozzle in between the carb and reeds, I am not sure how well it would work otherwise. It would most likely blow out your reeds. I fabbed a small aluminum tank for my gas that I spray with the nitrous. A couple things to think about. Stay away from carbon fiber reeds, they tend to freeze and break. And you will need to retard your timing when spraying,I have found 1.5 degrees retarded for every 10 horse shot seems to work well. I have a NX kit and it is a very nice setup.
  8. 3/4" dia CM will do just fine. And as far as length goes somewhere between 100%-120% of your bikes wheelbase.
  9. Cool Tim, when ya bringin that thing out to Mich. to run with the big dogs! I'd love to see it at the sand nationals at WMSD in August!
  10. 2.87 @ 116! I call BS. Not saying it's not possible. But we would have heard about it 5 minutes before it happened over on PS. Even at that it was not in competition at a sanctioned track, so therefore it would not be "the record". And another thing to your story, the NHRA does not allow "chutes" on the blacktop on a quad, motorcycle, snowmobile, so what exactly was the issue?
  11. Right from Yami........I'll get you the part numbers later tonight, I have them written down out in the shop. They should be like $6-$8 per fiber.
  12. Agreed on the lockup. As for clutches, I have always had real good luck with EBC fibers. But recently I have been using Yami streetbike fibers with real good success.
  13. Mike Goodale and Mike Brock have both been very very low 3.s on their trikes, so I would say Packard still has some work to do. But Dennis's shit is really impressive.I have seen Goodale run in the 3.20's all weekend long......on a bad weekend.
  14. Who did your "drag port"? I would start with big carbs and drag pipes and then go from there. I know a +10 swinger was not to much with my old 350 back in the day.
  15. If you are really fast post some slips.... I am sure you have some laying around in you trophy case.
  16. I'm not Andy from GRR........but I spend a lot of time at the shop and know most everything that has gone on. I have been all over the country with Andy and am happy to call him friend. So yes I know a lot about the situation.... I would not just chime in if I did'nt. I am not a snot nose kid. I've been doing this shit for a long time probobly since you were shittin' yellow. I was there helping tune for several dyno sessions with these pipes. I even have a set of outta frames (prototype) out in the barn.
  17. My source is hmmmm.........what is his name.......ohh ya it's me!!!!! I was there for a good portion of the testing. And o ya bite me
  18. Where did you get this info from? As I happen to know for fact that it is 100% untrue!
  19. A few of us(me included) have had the pto side crank bearing break on our 4mil hotrods cranks also!
  20. Pro wedge 2's are real good tires for hard packed.
  21. I have used 927 for many years now! Never had a failure due to oil. In my opinion much better than the other stuff. What do they call it Klotz superringeater.
  22. The bike runs real hard. I stopped by the track for a minute on Saturday. There was some pretty fast stuff there. To bad Albin's turbo bike puked. He was on the brink of 3.70's!!!!!!!!
  23. Bore(mm) x bore(mm) x stroke(mm) x .0007854 x # of cylinders is the formula. Now we can all figure out the cc's of our motors. Just thought it may be helpfull as there seems to be a lot of confusion here.
