  1. Alrighty then.................I'm in, got the day off Friday. So getting to the dunes around noonish, gonna ride friday and saturday. Going home late afternoon saturday. Dave if you need anything give me a hollar! I'll throw it in the truck or you can stop by on your way thru on Wednesday. There will be 4-5 bikes in my group.
  2. I 'm here. I'll tell you what I remember!!!! I ran a wet system (nx). I ran up to a 70 shot. I ran alky thru the carbs and race gas as an enrichener for the nitrous. I just fabbed a small aluminum tank in the back of the bike. The difference in our system and others is the fuel system. I run a adjustable bypass style fuel pressure regulator. So whatever fuel pressure you run it's dead nuts on. The fuel is always circulating when the systems armed. Without this you would not beleive the pressure drop (lean) when you hit the button. With this it drops like a 1/4 psi. The other thing is know where youre timing is. I used to adjust about 1.5* retard for every 10hp shot. Timing will kill youre motor with a big shot if you don't do this.

  4. I also ride at Silver Lake......one of the guys that rides with us once in a while has an Arctic Cat 500 4x4. There is no place he cannot go. It gets around quite well. And hell if one of us needs a tow, it's nice to have that tank to pull us out!!!!!!!!
  5. This is why you beat him. Alky can be a bitch to tune in 75 degree weather.... nearly impossible in 0 degree weather. It is just too temp sensitive.

  9. I would think it would be fairly easy for a competent fabricator.........The only problem I could foresee would be pipe fitment issues. I would guess that could be cured with a 2:1 pipe setup. Even with that I am sure you would have to heavily modify the 2:1 pipe to make it fit (and not look hillbilly). You would also have a big imbalance problem while riding with the cylinder hanging out the right side.
  10. The bike was on gas at first, then switched to alky..................I was just giving the guy a cheap option!!!!!!!! Yep I know what that means.....ICE!!!!!!!!! Gonna play on Houghton Lake this coming weekend with the old Z400.
  11. I am a cheap bastard.......with my 421 cub I just mounted another stock petcock to the bottom of my tank. I have a alum tank, but I got the idea from Rob at RDZ, who had it on a stock tank.

  14. You must have spark arrestors. I would say buy them now. They get top dollar for them at duneland (store at the entrance to the dunes). There are afew good hills to jump on, if thats your thing. Some nice flats to drag on. Just a real nice ride area.
  15. I would also concern myself with why it backed out..........detonation. To much timing, air leak (crank seals), Clogged main jet, too small of main jet, . etc, etc, could be quite a few things!

  17. It says in the ad no 3 wheelers.......why? There are a lot of laydown 3 wheelers out there, and also atc250r drag bikes. That will keep all of the fast Kentucky boys out of there. The fastest bike in the country is a 3 wheeler. Are you telling me you would'nt want that kind of exposure!!!!!!!

  19. I have an all GRR bike and another going together. I have been all over running the roads with Andy...........and I would say we proved ourselves everywhere we go. If you have GRR pipes and they are not better than any other pipe out there, send them back and he will give you your money back......... He has only had a couple sets sent back out of thousands of sets made. What does that tell you. We have a lot of satisfied customers. Don't come on an open site kid and make a broad statement like that......That is the kind of stuff that turns us into dicks!!!!!!!!!   21. Andy has some bad ass carbon fiber silencers for his outta frames!!!!! But they are not spark arrested. Dave any time you wanna try a set or 5 of GRR's all you have to do is say the word!!!!!! I'll set it up, we've got several used sets/ dyno pipes laying around!!!!!
  22. Saranac Mi here...... I pretty much ride dunes and a few drag strips here and there. Next year will be WMSD and the dunes with a couple trips to Kentucky for some good ole boy racing!!!!!!!!!

  24. It will be not noticable. You will be changing case volume by such a small amount, that it really will not matter.
