6 to 7 degrees advanced is a good starting point....I know of people running cubs on +10-12 degrees...with good success. Let your plugs be your guide.

Wow thats pretty cool.......every time I have talked with 131 dragway about running my quad they said no. Been a few years but they did not used to let us run there, and they were quite rude about it might I add. Might have to check it out. That is a top notch facility.....just the staff was not very kind. What did they check for at tech in????? Did they say anything you must have??

You can get a 10mil in any rod configuration you want 110 115 120 125 big pin, small pin, etc.....Just depends what your cylinder/ piston combo requires.......................but 115 rod is probably most common. Oh ya....bump for a good deal on this crank

As long as you stay with a 115mm rod on a 10mil you dont need any welding. And there are some that do 120mm rods on a 10mil and do not weld. Just luck of the draw on the cases. Just like some throw a 5mil stroker crank in with no trenching and some have to trench for a 5 mil stroker.

Dave is right.....the last time I rented the track it was 240 bucks. We had a ton of people, so it was only 10 bucks a person. I ended up collecting 300 bucks and gave it to Bob. He was very grateful. This kind of stuff will go a long way when we want the track on short notice or other wierd circumstances.

10mil 75 bore.......565cc's.....I got the cases from Evan.....so I assume you cut them......nice work!!!!!!! The engine is all together....checked squish today and it was .032. That is a little tight IMO. Gonna call Lew tomorrow and see what he says. What do you think???

Those are actually Kawasaki 550 jet ski cylinders......they look a lot like Superior sleeve cylinders........They are not just bolt on.....but close. They never ran all that great, I have seen a couple drag bikes with this setup many years ago. Back in the day, they were an option.....but with all the aftermarket cylinders out......The question would be .......Why!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You can get away with a stock petcock.....but take it off the tank and take the filters off the petcock. Also be very careful about how you run your lines and how you plumb the tee in. Once all hooked up turn the petcock on and make sure fuel flows freely to both carbs. Or you can just buy a pingle and be done with it.

Agreed you just take away too much transfer area with the larger sleeves.....they can run......but you will usually make more power with stock size sleeves.
