  2. I use PB blaster, soak it overnight. Then I heat it with a propane torch, and use the double nut method. Since I have been doing it this way, I have not had one stud break. Before I did it this way, I was 50% at best.......LOL

  8. 7mil crank and 68 bore does not equal 525cc either.................And if it cost 9 grand to build the engine...he got robbed!!!!!!!!!!! 31 to 1 alcohol mix....he sure does go the extra mile.....hell most are good at 32:1..LMAO!!!
  9. Me not run on the edge.....you quite obviously have no idea who you are talking to. And for you to give somebody info that is most certainly on the edge, is........how did you put it......ignorant. That is cartainly not a happy place for him to start. Now can he work his way there in baby steps???? Possible, but he certainly should not start there. I have been running stuff, and tuning stuff on nitrous before it was cool to run on "NOS"...... Hell I remember the first time I showed up at a drag strip with the bottle.....people thought we were nuts, then they were calling the shop on monday wanting their bikes setup...............You may know stuff about 2200hp Promod engines....but you certainly dont know jack about shee engines.......
  10. Ya, I have seen people grenade their entire engine following that kind of advise.......... Rods going thru cases...........Nothing left of the piston but a molten blob in the pipe.......ya know bad stuff.......... Definetly more than just a rebuild.....LOL......
  11. Whoa that is horrible advise and you will surely end up with a melted piston!!!!!! Back when my bike was on the hose I would retard timing 1.5* per 10hp sprayed. So with a 20 shot you would retard 3*......... That is the formula I always follwed and I sprayed as large as a 70 shot............... This is from personal experience, on a banshee.........................

  14. The bigger bore adds something to the formula......I have kicked over a handful of 10 mil cubs, they are a cakewalk. Try kicking over my 10mil twister, or most any bigger bore, longer stroke engine that way and you will hurt yourself..........lol Allthough I would like to know what your squish is............
  15. I push it over with my foot until it stops. Then kick it hard....lol. It does kick back every now and again....and when it does it hurts!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  17. I guess about all I can tell ya is........with my 565cc twister you gotta kick it like ya got a set. It definetly aint no 350........LOL I have 175psi compression as well.
  18. When I had them on..it was a drag ported stock cylinder.39mm tms carbs, Grand River outta frames........ I dont remember what needles I used......
  19. There is a difference between the TMX and TMS. The tms carbs do not have pilot jets....I used a set way back in the day. They worked good. The only thing I remember is you have to have the correct needle, like a Lectron. That is the key to tuning them...LOL. I think I still have some needles laying around..........
  20. I have always used the 1 1/2 rule. You want it threaded in 1 1/2 times the diameter....that is just me. Which would mean using your example it would need to be threaded in 9/16".

  22. That I know of the biggest small blocks start at 75mm on first bore and end at 77mm on last bore. The big blocks can be had with a larger bore...............
