    Take your filter off.... you see the big silver screws on the back of the carbs(on the tors). Well they control your slides on your carbs, if the slide are even (look into your intake at the metal "slides" inside the carbs). Then your carbs are synced, your COMPRESSION should be at least 120psi and if it's not, it's rebuild time.

    In shocks... you get what you pay for. If you want a better ride for cheap price go w/ works. If you get any kind of big air and land less than perfect every time, go w/ elka, ohlins, axis, pep,or tcs. Do you want rezzys(exta oil capacity to keep the shocks from fading under heat). You want them to have rebound/compression dampning?? Do a search on... shocks. If you need some info, then if you have more questions just hit this thread back up.

    Thanks txblueshee, i think im gonna go with the 125.  But should i buy an RM, CR, KX, or YZ.  I have heard that the YZs are the fastest, and CRs are the most reliable, but i'd like a second opinion.

    Personally, I think it's 1/2 dozen one... 1/2 dozen the other. I will always be partial to yammi though ;) , they seem to always have a little edge on the honda in the speed department. My buddie has a cr125 that's modded out the ass, I don't even think the engine cases are stock :blink: (it's still a 125 though) . Anyways he's dead even w/ me untill I hit top of 4th then I start to pull him. I have reeds, pipes, -2.5 swingarm, .20 pro-lites and K&N.

    I'm 5'7, whoa whats with all the hostility?

    You'll fit on a 125 just fine... i'm 6'2 and they feel like a mountain bike to me :P . I suggest getting a 125... I don't have that much experience with them but a couple of my buddies have them. One rebuild about every year to year&1/2 to keep them in top shape.

     

    Not really hostility... just this kid is a post whore. His first name was banshee crazy kidd.. now it's just kid. I don't know if he got banned the first time, but he post in damd near every topic he can b4 his bed time. He has 183 post of pure shit... not one knowlegable post out of all of them.

    the 80 would be great for what u are doing cuz it is smaller but u can buy them bigger frames....how tall r u?cuz hieght matters i the dirtbike world. The 125 would be nice also because it has more power also they go about 80-90 mph(depending on what u get..

    Find me a stock 125 dirtbike that does over 70mph and I'll kiss your ass... stop posting in every thread you can b/c you haven't given out one piece of good advice since you've been on this site.

    you say my posts are off topic and take up space well well well what do you do screamin woman?

    Hey, pay attention now ok?? This post is in the general section.... now please take some time to read the description for the "general section". Let's see... a woman kicking some guys ass... not banshee related, but funny. A thread about how to not tip a quad over in the "rides of shame" isn't related to the topic.... except for the fact that worrying about tipping a quad and asking about it is quite a shame indeed.

     

    Tell you what... here's a homework assignment for you... you'll like this one. Go through and read the description to each forum section... then... find all your posts, and see how the relate to each section. You'll have fun, I swear. If you get bored, stroke your gun and watch some Bruce Lee action movies. I know homework would seem boring since you probably have a lot to do already from elementary school, but this will help you out in the future. :rolleyes:

    Thats sweet Boon.......keep in mind all the arm you see on the box that Matt did for me was tons of work for him, he put bondo on his welds(thats why you cant see them) sanded it all out then painted it for me, thats not the 100 dollar special.........just lookin out for ya matt......

    Duece, I posted that so everyone could see how good of a job matt CAN do... I should've been more specific about the pic. Sorry if I got anyones hopes up of that being a 100$ special.
