My dad picked up an 04 3/4 powerstrokem w/ the new 6.0, fully loaded for 34,000... I've ridden in both the ford and the dodge super duty's.... I was more impressed by the ford. Both are kick ass trucks but i'm with sredish on this one... different strokes (no pun intended ) for different folks.

Stock chain size is 104.... 104 will work w/ the 13/41 setup.

When I sat on my first banshee I got the feeling that it was "the one"... I test drove it. It was fast.... real fast, trees turned into green blurs and my eyes were watering but I never let off bangin gears and grabbin throttle. Sideways through 3rd.... feeling I'll never forget. I bought a banshee 2 weeks later.
legendss28: I power wheelie past my buddies trick 125 when he's topped out.

Get some jets if the pipes didn't come with some.... a K&N w/ a noss machine adapter wouldn't hurt the cause either.

Several things could've happend.... Blew up b/c of a lean condition, locked up b/c of a air-leak (related to lean condition), broke the crank, locked up the tranny etc... From not knowing how the bike was treated while you weren't around (why you would lend someone your bike is beyond me. I suggest you pull the head off and take a look.

Rmatv and a few other peeps told me to go w/ the sintered metal galfer pads. So that's what I bought (there not installed yet). I was told that the carbon pads heat up and fade faster than the sintered metal.

I just got my rear shock back from derisi racing (gettin rebuilt) and I installed it. The back end looks lower than what it used to be but I forgot to measure what it was w/ the stock specs. I was wondering if someone w/ stock rear suspension would be willing to measure from the bottom of the pipe mounts( or a better spot if there is one) to the ground.
Thanks,
Mike

I sent my shocks up to elka to get them refreshed ( March 5, 04) and was quoted an 3-5 business day turnaround. My shocks are STILL in canada and are leaving out this coming monday. I tried to get eric to do them but they said some guy named ethan does them now. He forgot my shocks were there until I called him last week . I couldn't afford a new rear shock so I'm having derisi racing rebuild my stocker. I sent it to him a week after I sent my elkas to canada and he's already done w/ my shock (quoted 5-7 business day turnaround). I sured do love my elkas but I can't say I love the way they treated me.... especially after I told them I bought the shocks used.

The qsm upper a-arms don't use bushings... they use a "roller ball" looking deal from what I figured. B/c that sleave wouldn't fit inside the a-arm and the "balls" on each end of the a-arm that pivots. So you only need the lowers.... 6.04$ a pop.

The only time I have trouble getting service is in my house (metal roof w/ lots of insulation in between). I walk outside and get 5 bars... and boon you know that I live in the boonies . On a side-note... the samsung flipphones (don't know the numbers) seem to be pretty damd durable themselves and they also have great signal.

You can't.... even if you found a track were you could.... I wouldn't.

I have a motorola t720 (cingular service).... My phone has been: dropped, kicked, drop-kicked, hit my a 'shee at 40mph (long story), hit concrete from 14ft. etc. etc. etc..... I'ts a little rough around the edges but it's still kickin. BTW: That's the only 6 months of abuse .

Yes you will need some new/used aftermarket shocks valved for +2 a-arms. I picked up my elkas delivered for 312$ cod. So including the a-arms I have 862$ in my front end.

I'll take a piped banshee w/ a good set of shocks (no a-arms or axle) over a stock suspensioned 'shee with a stroker through the rough shit any day of the week.

To be honest, the first time I pulled my banshee apart, I had it for about 4 months. I took the whole thing apart, did some powdercoating etc...about 3 months later I put it together again with out a Clymers manual. The thing ran fine until I wrecked it 4 years later.
For some strange reason though I always have extra bolts or nuts. Im up to one full bag of nuts, 2 bags of bolts, one of washers, and one of stuff I don't know where it came from.
Here I was thinking I was the only one that had "leftovers"

Sounds like a good setup except you forgot some parts (the nickle&dime stuff) that adds up to about 500$ more. I kinda roundabout figured how much I've put in my 'shee for mx and I puked. I have to kinda disagree with sredish... the stocker will do fine until you can get a -2 but after the shorter arm you'll wonder how/why in the hell you mx'd w/ the stocker.
