  1. You can come, I'll let you. Jen, did you see my "Baja" thread here in this forum?
  2. yea, i saw that to and just ignored it. if he really thinks his banshees going to stay with a 450f, i figured I'd let him figure that one out on his own... i sure hope the 450f is stock btw...
  3. don't get me wrong, a properly setup banshee would handle tighter trails with ease, but a woods/tight trails shee isn't going to make 60+hp, because your building it for torque and that's not really it's forte. if your building a higher hp banshee for speed, it's going to be a lot peakier which leads me back to my question... what kind of riding does he want to be "faster" at. I mildly setup yfz will be pretty damned fast and will hang with quite a few banshee's quite honestly. It's not that hard to get 54hp out of a yfz, where a banshee would generally need some good pipe, portwork, timing and so on to get the same hp.
  4. what kind of riding is he going to be doing? the banshee has a lot more potential, but as you start cranking the power up on the banshee, the powerband gets a little narrower where the yfz you can get 50hp pretty easy and a boatload of torque for a stronger woods/trail machine. For example: TRX450R (I'd like to see a chart this smooth come from a banshee)
  5. What is the idling problem, like it's not idling fast enough, like you can't get the speed adjusted? you might have to unscrew the idle screw completely, remove the spring behind it and cut it in half. Then, screw it back in and see if you can get better idle. I've had to do that on several shee's and it seems several others on here have had that problem as well. There doesn't always seem to be enough adjustment in the screw. Fouling plugs, when? Idling, cruising, full speed? What kind of jets are you running currently?
  6. Guess I overlooked his first post... will I ever live it down??
  7. So clarky, you and your bro... in or out?
  8. "Caravan"... your the only one who's even replied so far. I have one guy here in TX, but I'm having a feeling he won't be able to afford it, but maybe by then. My other buddy loves to ride, but I'm not sure 400 miles in 4 days is something he's dying to do. So, it may be just us two... Nah, I'm sure I can get some peeps once the ball gets rolling. Scott
  9. You ought to head this direction (you need to come south anyways) and we'll hook up and go on from here and we can get anyone else on the way. Just a thought, but not a bad idea on the rv thing. It will be nice, and we'll probably not make it in one day anyways. Something to think about. FWIW, I'd kill to go on this trip, my only problems is that it's for 4 days, I wish it'd be like 6 or 8 or hell a whole month... Remember, the trip consists of 80 to 100 miles a day for four days on quads and a lot of it is on the actual baja race course. Sweeeet!!
  10. As easy as it is to change needle positions, it's almost always overlooked, however, it's one of THE most important tuning functions. Glad you got it tho. Scott
  11. We don't need an RV. We get there, unload and then take off for the first 100 miles to the Sky Ranch and stay there. Most of the functions will be out of that place. The money includes food, overnight stays at that ranch, and everything anyone would need.. Scott PS- Maybe we should do this in the baja thread....
  12. Oh yea, did you all see the new car I just bought? The ground effects are stunning... i didn't realize Home Depot carried such nice ground effects...
  13. No, you would NOT want Rockets for mx. Stay with a midrange or low/mid pipe.
  14. next year some time. he states $400 a day, but with a group, i'm sure we can get that down some. so $1,600 plus getting there at the most, and hopefully less. i put that thread up on two forums and haven't gotten any responses...
  15. Try TexasATVs.com. There's a lot of Houston peeps on there who can point you in the right direction. There's a lot of other Texas peepsas well, but that should get you going. Scott
  16. Well, I'm still workin on it, but i don't see why not. You gonna go to Baja with me??
  17. To celebrate your birthday, I'm giving you both stars. Brad, here's one for you... Brookie, here's yours... Sorry, but they were out of the other colors. Happy Birthday to the both of you...
  18. I'll just throw her in the back of my new Toyhauler... and lock it up. Your welcome to do the same should you need to. Scott
  19. I'll come to LS if you all come to Baja with me... just look at the thread I put in this forum....
  20. Man, I ain't skeered of chit, plus, I still have my banshee remember fellas... Hopefully trying out some PT High Revs shortly. I will feel bad leaving one behind while I take off on the other... oh well, decisions to make...
  21. i resent that remark... but we'll see...
  22. f that. I'll be on my own quad with my own gear... but it is kinda cute... for one of the clark boys maybe...
  23. Aaah, I turn my back for five minutes and it's back to talkin smack about the Honda.... You are all gonna be very disappointed when the only thing you can't find my tailight due to all the roost... I guess I'll have to get another set of paddles for the R. I got a set for the Banshee but that'll be way too easy for me... I'm down for a trip of some sort... but it'll be a little bit before I can get away that far.
  24. Let's get a group together for a 4-day Baja trip on atv's. It's like 400 miles in 4 days. Bring your quad or rent one. ATV Baja Tours
