Running like crap, one pipe hotter than other.
sredish replied to i12gofast's topic in Jetting & Exhaust Forum
Have you checked for air leaks on that side? The problem started after you rejetted, so the rejetting had to cause the problem. Now, why is one side different than the other. 360 is a pretty big main and if the left side ran good there but the right side ran bad, and now the right side ran good and the left side seems hot/lean, then it would appear that the left side is getting more air/needing more fuel than the right side. Check for air leaks or maybe some blowby on the left side. Another thing you don't want to hear is that sometimes when the crank seal on the left side, the one that seals it off from the flywheel, goes bad or out, it can suck air in there and cause some leanness issues on the left side. So, while your checking for air leaks, maybe pull the left cover and inspect behind the flywheel. -
I say go for it. Trinity pipes are pretty good pipes, but keep in mind, pipes are 99% opinion. One person may like them and another may not. All in all, they'll be a good pipe to go have fun with and should fit your needs well.

Rotella 15/40 is a killer trans oil.

28mm PWK's would be the ticket.

it's not normal, your probably just a tad rich on the pilots. does it start cold w/o the choke? if so, then that's not normal either, you should need the choke to cold start, but not need it to warm start...

where not to take a banshee for repairs

This guys house... -
That is a hue friggin picture. Anyways, there's a hose that should plugged onto the end of that and goes up into the tee maybe, if I remember right, but it goes up by the stem to vent. Don't plug it, it needs to be vented out.

Pretty much ANYTHING will be better than the stockers. Best bang for the buck, get some YFZ shocks. Even better bang for the buck, get some YFZ shocks and send them off to a company like TCS for revalving and you'll have killer shocks for not a lot of dough, less than half the cost of a set of good, comparable aftmkt shocks. I'd still suggest TCS for new shocks if your wanting new shocks, and they'll still be cheaper than Elkas, PEPs or Axis.

there's a hose coming out of the lower case, tee's and goes up by the tank. it's just a crank case breather tube and runs up by the stem to vent. there should be two places it plugs into on the case, that's what the tee is for, they both come together at the tee then go up to the stem.

Another nice thing is you can also go up, then back down if need be. Or say you go up to LS, Utah with a higher elevation. You can change out the domes to keep the same compression, performance there. There's loads of positives with the Noss over a milled head. I'm not/wasn't saying that a milled head is bad, it's an inexpensive way to bump the compression, just beware of the drawbacks, i.e. more heat, stuck with one compression level regardless and so on....

I'm planning on a mid-September trip. Not sure on dates yet, but October is not possible for me, nor is early November. Anyone interested in a mid September trip to LS, hit me up.

only time I'd shave the head is if I'm trying to keep down a budget. the Noss head will flow coolant better which will offset the extra heat gained from extra compression, where with a shaved head, you'll increase the chance for overheating due to more heat w/o better efficiency in the cooling system. It will also have better shaped domes, plus you can fine tune the compression which is a huge benefit over a shaved head. The Noss head is a much better alternative to shaving a head, but it does cost more.

I don't know about a stroker. I think I would go with a 400 or so big bore kit over the stroker, giving how you'll be riding it. The big bore should give you the powerband your looking for. Then, get some FMF Fatty pipes to mate them to. Good broad power in a setup like that. Then look for some +2 a-arms for the front and nice axle for the rear. Not sure how wide you'll be racing in but if it's somewhat open, run stock offset fronts, if it's tight, get some 4-1 fronts to narrow it back up a little. The wider a-arm, narrow offset will get you handling really well, eliminate bumpsteer and work great. Then get some nice shocks, get Elkas since they're a canadian company. get a good steering dampener and with that, you'll be set.

need jetting for fmf pipes and silencers
sredish replied to banshee7's topic in Jetting & Exhaust Forum
if you have the lid on, do yourself a favor and pull it and the snorkel on the front. then throw in a 300 main and see what you got. the pilots, 27.5 would be a good choice. -
what new pipes to buy for mods
sredish replied to barely legal racing's topic in Jetting & Exhaust Forum
yea, I'd get some new pipes to work with that drag port. assuming you want top end power, from the drag port, i'd look at some Toomeys if your not wanting full on drag pipes, or some CPI's for draggers. Another pipe I like a lot but doesn't get a lot of mention is the Paul Turner Hi Revs, they're a good pipe a little smoother than the T5's but still killer top end. -
Ebay. Look for some FMF Fatties, one of the best all-around pipes, bang for buck, you can get.

work with him a week, hell, i've seen them work together for about an hour and that was pushing it..... :baseball_bat: but, i'm the same way with my pops..... both hands-on, we'll last about an hour, then someone's getting slapped, but above all, there's a bond that no one could understand or seperate, like an unspoken thing there that exists. To watch them (our pops) get older, lack the ability to do things they were doing not so long ago, put into a position to where they're life's threatened or anything is just hard to deal with. My pops is still in good health, but he is getting older and has lost some abilities that he used to have as far as strengths and memory.

scary deal tit, I feel for ya.... :noexpression:

ahaha, I don't think NYUK would know what to do with two spark plugs.... :thumb:

I'd have to say ol Dereks a pretty good guy, and his bike's nice too.... Now, if he'd just leave it alone and let other people catch up...

only very very extreme situations should it be done. I think, with the right situation, it's necessary, however never something that's easily done, at all. I only know of one person who's done that and she is a close person to me, on my wife's side. she was very young, the guy was a total jerk, they were "together" for 4 or 5 years and this happened about the time she realized what kind of a jerk he was and really she was just not ready. Looking back, it could've really messed her life up, but it's hard to think back and realize that if she wouldn't have, she'd have a 7 year old. It messes her up, she's plagued with panic attacks and it hits her really hard sometimes still. Did she do the right thing, who knows, there's never a right answer. Personally, I think she did the right thing, as bad as that sounds and as much as I really hate to say that, but at her age, her life would've been turned upside down. I'm sure it would've worked itself out but man, what a decision to face at such a young age....

You'll probably have to work your way up to the I-20 corridor like Tyler, Jacksonville, etc. I know there's a track somewhere near Tyler.

Dale, your too goddamned old to be going to OZZFest..... I'm jealous, bet it was fun.

Why does it cost money to be a Premium Member!?!
sredish replied to **BrAnDoN**'s topic in General Banshee Discussion
If you see the value and want to pay, then do it, if not STFU! Only reason I don't is because I'm not on here much anymore.
