  1. I want some stock pegs. I'm going to cut off the mounting flange and weld the peg to the back of mine, to make a double width peg. Scott
  2. I think if I was to get into some huge porting, I'd probably go back to duals, but I'd run a mild port on the 35mm. The 40 might be big, but if you plan some porting, then that would be sweet. I'd like to have a 40mm, personally. I'm scheduled in for some porting, but I'm not gonna go huge, due to the single 35mm carb. I'd go bigger if I knew I had the 40mm coming. Hmmm, maybe this is something I need to check into. Scott
  3. One thing that my tech has mentioned before, is that he believes the left side can run more rich in some circumstances, don't know why. He has 36mm carbs and runs a 430 in the right and a 420 in the left. I don't know how this sounds, but if all else fails and everything is perfect and it still just seems rich or fouls, adjust the mains specifically to the cylinders.
  4. Alright, I'm logged into my ftp server, gonna transfer some files. I see like 4 or 5 folders on the server. What folder do I transfer the files into, or where do I transfer them? Do they need to be in a specific folder am I missing something? The folder shown are (with the subfolders below in ftp): cgi-bin ftp .bin .incoming .pub htsdata logs I appreciate the help.
  5. Let's see the finished product!!! I'd also like to see that. In regards to the Graydon versus Trinity, I doubt that there will be much, if any, difference in performance. If you have the Graydon, keep it, likewise for the Trinity. Scott
  6. They both respond to porting pretty well. I'd stick with the fatties for the extra top end.
  7. Sweeeeet. I think I got this figured out. Led, thanks for the offer. I got my web hosting info from ValuWeb, then got the domain pointed to the ValuWeb servers and then found all the info on transferring the ftp files. Tomorrow the transferring of files will begin. I'll show you guys the finished product tomorrow. You can make fun of my first site. Thanks again for the help, you guys got me pointed in the right direction, most definitely. Scott
  8. Damn, this is confusing. Just spoke to Network Solutions, now need to talk to ValueWeb for hosting. Then talk to tech for ftp info. My head hurts.
  9. I built a website for my construction company on Adobe GoLive, and it's pretty well finished, but I don't know how to transfer it to the web. I have the domain name reserved with Network Solutions. Anyone have any info on this? Thanks, Scott
  10. If your selling, you have the upper hand. If he's a deadbeat and doesn't pay, then all you've lost is time. If your the buyer and you send the money and don't get the stuff, your out the money. If he doesn't pay, then offer the second bidder down a chance to buy, or even third. Also, if they don't pay, report it to ebay. They can cancel him so he can't do it anymore.
  11. Are you sure the orings were well in place when you installed it? How about th orings for the domes? Is the head torqued correctly? The reason I'm asking, is you could have a small leak where the compression is escaping, causing it not to start. If there isn't any compression, it won't want to start. It worked before you installed the head, and now it won't work, so something involved with the head is not working. Maybe an oring tore when you installed it causing a leak. I'd take it off and inspect it, then reinstall carefully. You can do a compression check to confirm the amount of compression.
  12. I also use 1 up in the front and stock in the back. I have a 42 for the rear that I've occasionally used in tighter areas, but I generally like it like this. The best way to find out is to experiment. Get a 42 and a 40 rear tooth and play with it. See if you like those better, if not, then you know where you need to be.
  13. Like they said Ebay, or if there aren't any, Rocky Mountain ATV will work also. I got my pipes off of Ebay a while back, and only had to buy silencers retail, saved some money too.
  14. Meat mentioned in another post he had some front rims with +2 backspacing. I would like to find some. I looked around some and haven't found any. If anybody knows where to get them, holla. Scott
  15. Likewise. Sorry for the loss, and I wish you the best. I'm sure he'd be happy to know your taking care of his buggie for him. Scott
  16. both of those are good options. That's what I'd recommend the most. Trinity can help out. For a real rough guess, I'd say start with a 210 and see where shees at.
  17. That all depends on how high you want your gearing. Are you using 18" tires? The best way to figure out the gearing is trial and error.
  18. Make sure you have some chain lube, I like Maxima Chain Wax, but everybody has their own tastes, and put it on when the bikes been warmed up a little. Get some air filter cleaner spray and filter oil spray. Spray the filter with the cleaner, hose it down, let it dry then spray on the oil. You need to keep that air filter clean. Buy 6 new spark plugs; put 2 new ones in the motor, keep 2 on the machine, and 2 in your toolbox. I'd say get the BR8EIX Iridium plugs, a little more expensive but burn much hotter and harder to foul in a rich environment. One of the most important things to do is get a service manual. Easiest place to get it is from your dealer. This will tell you how to adjust the chain (very important), change the oil, and every other little maintenance thing that needs to be done and when. It will also tell you how to do just about anything else to the bike, as your experience and experimentalness grows. This board is a great place to learn, and I'm sure we'll think of some other things.
  19. I'd like to see what I could do with a yfz. I wouldn't trade in the banshee, but I wouldn't mind have one as a playtoy.
  20. I'll do a little of the legwork for you. Boyesen Vs. V-force
  21. opening the bore won't necessarily cause you to lose or gain bottom or top. It won't be any different than it is now, other than maybe making more power overall. It depends on the setup. If you go to a much bigger bore, you'll just have to give it that much more air, and fuel. But, back to the question, the bore size it not directly related to the top or bottom in particular. The way the machine is built will dictate how the machine will run, this is especially true on 2 stroke motors.
