  1. The bumper has a ding in the front, but otherwise good. The lights are pending with an individual at the moment. If you think the price is high on the carbs, make me an offer. It's definitely negotiable. It's the stock carbs, cable, caps (w/ tors) & slides. I would like to get them out of my shop. Soctt
  2. A friend of mine is going also. They're regulars up there and I don't know where they camp at. I'd say steal me a spot, but I'll get back to you. I'll probably be in my '03 black F250, with my b&w banshee. Don't know if I'll be trailering or not, depends on how much room i have and what I'll need to carry. Easier w/o the trailer. Just look for the dumb punk. I was going to bring the rv, but sounds like it will be busy and I don't know if I'll get that thing in there where I want to be. If there's space, I'll probably be popping the tent i have for the bed of my pickup, if I can back it up close to the campsite. I'm sure we'll all have a little more info closer to the weekend.

  5. well, that's probably dark enough. that was the wide open throttle and kill the motor test, right? some people get offended when you ask them simple questions, and i'm not saying anybodys dumb, but there's only one way to learn, so I ask very basic questions.

  7. How the hell are we going to find each other? I've got to figure out where to camp, with my buds that are going up there or with the BHQ guys. I think my bud is bringing his wife and kid and may want to "be alone". Don't know. I'm coming in my pickup and thats it. I'd like to use my "truck bed tent" with the awning if there's enough room. Later.
  8. I've ordered a new axle, and am now looking at adding a swingarm. I know a lot go -2 for mx and and needed traction, some go +2 for a lot of power. Basically, I want to improve my handling and tame the front end (for all the super power juice I'm going to give it), but I don't really want to sacrifice turning or handling on the mx track or woods. My friend keeps telling me I need to go +2 and that will work for about everything I like to do. +2 sounds goot to me, but I'd like to hear from some experience. Scott
  9. He was selling them chromed for an additional 100 bills. I'd take one unfinished and have it powdercoated myself. But they're pretty damn cheap and don't look that bad. I'm concerned with the construction aspect, looks pretty good though.

  11. It will help the response in the low/midrange some. It helps the air get moving faster into the cylinder. It's not a gimmick like the boost bottle, but it's not a huge seat of the pants improvement, but it does help a little. Put 'em on and try them, then you can tell us what you think. Scott

  14. Anybody else think that there will be a problem running the big bore sleeve? I'm probably going to be adding a big radiator, which will help a lot. I'm pretty sure I'm going to give it a try good or bad, but want some experiences or opinions. Scott

  17. Don't forget about the needle. The needle is what brings the two together and probably the second most important thing, next to the main jet. The needle will have more effect on the main than the pilot. One click on the needle is about .5 to 1 jet size on the main. I'd have it in the 3rd or even 4th clip from the top/blunt end. After that, adjust your pilot to idle good and have good idle/off idle response.

  20. is it smart to get a used crank? I'm asking 'cause I don't know, but I'd have a funny feeling unless I knew where the crank came from.
  21. Aaaah aaaah aaaaaaahhhhhBULLSHIT!!! You added Proflow with K&N (more air), then you took off the airbox lid (more air). Hmmmm, let me see.... I would say a rejet is definitely in order. I'm afraid that you are on the lean side. You've added more air, but no more fuel and this will create a lean condition. The motor will most certainly smoke in some lean conditions. Just because you see smoke doesn't mean it's rich, although the smoke will have a funny burnt smell to it sometimes when lean. As screamin'twin said, check your plugs, as that is the only way to truly tell. I would do this immediately, because if you do have a lean condition, I'd sure hate to hear from you Friday asking us how to remove a piston from your airbox. Check your plugs at wot and see if they're dark.
  22. Practice, practice, practice. You can try to put it in the lower tooth and bend up a little.
  23. Without a doubt. Your very next mod should be some pipes. All the mods to the banshee aren't fully working without a set of pipes. If you can't afford yet, save until you can. FMF Fatties are pretty inexpensive and great pipes, and you can get them on ebay from time to time. Right now, pipes will do more for you than about any other mod. Period.
