  1. sounds like a slip to me. Go to RockyMountainATV.com and buy yourself a new clutch. The Tusk clutch is supposed to be great and very inexpensive, I have just switched to the EBC Dirt Racer and so far I love it.
  2. As long as your clutch is good, I would also start with the oil. I use silkolene light comp oil and have really good luck. There are tons of different oils to use, try several and see how it goes.
  3. so when are you making me a custom set of drags for the bansh???
  4. dammit boonman, where you at, this is the second time i've had to do this. just kidding, i can't help but be a smart ass. Boonman is good company. Like txblueshee said, he'll get back to you. If there's anyone on the board thats honest and does what he says, its boonman. Patience my man, or is it, good things come to those who wait.
  5. First off, all you have to do is unplug the connections. There are connections at the carbs, under the fuel tank on the drivers side and I believe you need to disconnect at the bars. There is a TORS eliminator kit you can buy to replace the honkin caps. You can probably buy it at MagicRacing.com, a site sponsor.
  6. Led, whats going on, got that thing purring yet?? I hope your out riding right now. I am interested in those pics also, as I'm going to tackle that myself pretty soon. Later.
  7. No no no no no. Water wetter is a good product and lowers the temps but just a little, not much. Engine Ice is the way to go. Lowers the temps a lot more. It is a very good product, much better than water wetter!! Plus, it looks good enough to mix with your vodka.
  8. Get rid of the TORS crap. When your done burning the TORS crap, then you can work on the carbs like your supposed to be able to and find out the problem. Chances are, when the TORS crap has been dismantled and burned, the problem will go away.
  9. Here is a very sweet site that has a great detailed explanation on how to do it right. Painting ATV Plastic
  10. Paid 50 bones on ebay, brand new in unopened box. They are very sweet lights, use them on my jeep also.
  11. Maybe this guy? Any Banshee Guys Near Wichita Falls, Tx?
  12. Then get some FMF Fatties or Paul Turner mids. Toomeys and CPIs are great pipes but they have their place, and I'd say that's not on the trail.
  13. It'd work good, and would be even greater with a port job.
  14. Take a look at this on jetting: What is Jetting?
  15. Go ahead and put on the reeds, it will help. I don't have any experience with the top end pipes. The CPIs put out a little more power from what I gather, but that's all I can tell. I'd say get the Toomeys and save the dough for your next mod.
  16. amen brother. setup is key, with any quad, 4 stroke or 2 stroke. The reason they like their 4 strokes is they are a little easier to ride out of the box. A little setup on your banshee, and they won't get out on the track with you anymore. Just remember to set your overall goal for the quad, then work on the mods necessary to get to that goal. If you set out with one goal and work to it, and do mods that work together, then your quad will be one sweet working machine.
  17. CarbParts.com comes to mind. I generally call them and discuss what I need with them. They have all you need for carbs. I think Big Blue originally turned to them.
  18. I didn't think you could run those 2 together very easy. What kind of brackets did you have to make?
  19. very nice. we'll be waiting anxiously for the results.
  20. you might as well have them throw an axle and some arms on it too.
  21. Sorry everyone. The lights are gone. It's unbelievable how many people need/want these lights. I just don't understand. $50 for the carbs, with cable, caps and all. Come on people.
  22. If your having problems starting and low power, play with your pilot jet some. Put in a 27.5 and see if that helps. I'd say 4th on the needle is good, but as easy as they are to play with, you might try 3rd just for giggles, it may help.
  23. I'm running them 55 watts right now, but soon I'm gonna throw in some 75 watters, after my stator gets here.
