I have a set of Mizuno MP37 blades and want something a tad more forgiving. I'm meeting with a Cleveland rep today and a Callaway rep tomorrow. Nike has a really nice blade out, but I think I want to stay away from a pure blade, that's why I was kinda leaning toward the Cleveland TA2 or the Callaway x-16 pro, they're both blade blood but have some decent weighting for forgiveness. I've tried the Cobras and they feel nice, in fact I have a set of KCobra IIs, but the distance isn't there, same with the Nike Slingshots. Overall, the Pings feel the best to me, but I think the Callaways and Clevelands have more distance and the feel is almost there. That's why I'm going to spend some more time with them and narrow it down some more.
I know all about the fitment, I generally play with a +1" shaft and a +2 lie, but I might try a .5" / +3 lie out and see if that will help me get under the ball. The reps will have a ball flight analyzer there so I can see how the ball spin and trajectory looks, that will tell me a lot.
Led, I agree about half the time, sitting there getting ready to tee off and think, "if I had my banshee here, I could tear some shit up".
