  1. You have to put your weight on the bike. I usually lay on the seat backwards (towards the rear) on my stomach. I reach down from behind and tighten / loosen as needed. You want a half to an inch of play in the chain. I personally like about an inch for those long hard jumps or whoops where the chain is going to get a lot of work. If it's a new chain, a half inch is okay 'cause I expect some stretch.
  2. What do u mean, didn't I say that right? Good call boonman, I got all my drugs mixed up. I lose track sometimes.
  3. I'll tell you what the problem is, too much free time at work. Thats where the problem lies. Have fun at the dunes, you sand monkey.
  4. I can find neutral faster than a crack whore can find her pipe. Maybe when I start havin problems, I'll let you hook me up boonman. Maybe, if I had one modded, I'd tell the difference. Hmmmm. What to do.
  5. Get some VForce reeds with a Pro Design intake. It's worth a few hp, and when you get your pipes, you'll be one step ahead. Look in the Product Reviews forum for a review on Delta VF 3 and you'll see Banchetta's dyno that shows the gain.
  6. You can use a die grinder or dremel and elongate the hole in the stock plate so that you can slide it to advance the timing some. It's very easy, I think like a quarter inch is about 3 degrees. Someone else will post a pic or link and give you a more accurate measurement I'm sure.
  7. Pretty much any pipe will have more top end than the 2-1. If you want some extra top end but still plenty of low, go with some FMF Fatties, FMF Gnarlies, PTR Mids all have good low/mid and still have some at the top, with the Gnarlies, Fatties, then PTRs in order of power & price the the PTRs having the most. I don't think the 2-1 would be an ideal setup unless you were strictly MX, period. They are awesome for MX, but I like the broadness of the Fatties.
  8. I have a set of Mizuno MP37 blades and want something a tad more forgiving. I'm meeting with a Cleveland rep today and a Callaway rep tomorrow. Nike has a really nice blade out, but I think I want to stay away from a pure blade, that's why I was kinda leaning toward the Cleveland TA2 or the Callaway x-16 pro, they're both blade blood but have some decent weighting for forgiveness. I've tried the Cobras and they feel nice, in fact I have a set of KCobra IIs, but the distance isn't there, same with the Nike Slingshots. Overall, the Pings feel the best to me, but I think the Callaways and Clevelands have more distance and the feel is almost there. That's why I'm going to spend some more time with them and narrow it down some more. I know all about the fitment, I generally play with a +1" shaft and a +2 lie, but I might try a .5" / +3 lie out and see if that will help me get under the ball. The reps will have a ball flight analyzer there so I can see how the ball spin and trajectory looks, that will tell me a lot. Led, I agree about half the time, sitting there getting ready to tee off and think, "if I had my banshee here, I could tear some shit up".
  9. Damn nice. Congrats on the new pad. Call me when the mx track is lit up and ready. Scott
  10. $50 for each spring and $50 for each carb. If you don't like the price, make a respectable offer.
  11. Call me crazy, but I'd be willing to bet that if you get carbs from Vitos, they'd be Keihens or Mikunis.
  12. Where's Led at?? LedoftheZep can tell you how he likes his, he's tried several different ones to compare also. If he don't chime in, pm him.
  13. Hell yeah, sounds like a lot of fun. I'll keep it in mind and try to make it. About an hour & fifteen from me. Thanks for the heads up.
  14. Honestly, can't remember, it's been awhile since i've ordered jets from Magic. I wouldn't say that Carbparts.com is rock bottom, but they're competitive and always have the items I need, for instance, I couldn't find a main for my Keihen over 200 anywhere else, don't know why. I had 8 main jets overnighted 8am from them a few months ago and total bill was around $40. Ordered at 2pm and had them by 8am the very next morning.
  15. yeah, I was kinda leaning towards kenmore.
  16. Wonder what percentage is women, and where the hell are they at?? Can't we start a titty forum? That's the kind of statistics I like.
  17. and fax me a beer while your at it, oh wait, email it. Technology.
  18. Nothing like a little bit of warning. Thanks Led. I'm meeting with Cleveland golf tomorrow to try a set of their irons and then Callaway on Saturday to try some of theirs. This is important as I need to find a set of suitable irons and I've had this planned for a little over a week now. Damn golf, always getting in the way. Dammit, I want to ride.
  19. and CarbParts.com. I've had good luck with both Magic and Carbparts.
  20. I would almost buy a set of CPIs and run them solely on the way the sound. Even though they suit my riding style about as good as a phat bitch suits my dick.
