  1. KODIAK,breakfast of champions. No shit. That's what I chewed, until the last year I switched to Skoal. That Kodiak has more glass than my boat. Honestly, so I don't get hooked, when I need a "small" fix, I'll grab a can of Hawken. It doesn't have much kick, but when you never have nicotine, there's a slight little feeling there. It's really really sweet and it works for me, keeps me from getting back into it deep. If I took a Kodiak chaw right now, wheeeww I'd be flying. Scott
  2. Very nice, you gave them my address, correct?
  3. Agreed, better than it melting, breaking or stripping, which all are common occurences with them.
  4. Yep, the control panel has time adjustments so you can set it up for your zone.
  5. I had a pic, but my comp. crashed a few weeks ago, I'll take another. But pretty self explanatory. I have two Banshee front shocks off of an '02. They were pulled after a few months on the bike, and most of the first few months, the bike was apart anyway getting some mods here and there. Let me know. I'd like $75 a shock, if you think that's too much, then make offer. I can take paypal, credit cards personally, and green. Scott
  6. whoa shit. that's expensive there cheeze. the cali's are the ones that are always getting the "rod". I think that's why they all move out and infiltrate the rest of the world.
  7. i was going to try to leave thurs afternoon, but my friend, if he goes, can't leave until friday around noon, so depends on that. i should be there fri. afternoon at the very latest.
  8. What clip do you currently have the needle in? Put in the 4th if it's in not there. If it's in the 4th, put it in the 5th and see. What I'm saying is go up a clip to see if that will help pull some more fuel through in the transition between the two circuits. That may be what your feeling. I'd still keep moving up slowly on the main. Go to a 210, then a 215 and see which feels runs better, but don't change the needle and the main at the same time, one by one so you know what is doing what. Scott
  9. I buy the cheapest steel sprockets I can find, like JT. I buy them from Rocky Mountain, or Magic Racing. I buy the best oring chain I can get. The DIDs are really good. Right now I'm running a Renthal. The good chains won't stretch and become a piece of sh*t like the crappy ones, and that will help the wear on the sprockets.
  10. Sounds like that may have hurt???? Really?? NOW we're getting somewhere!!!!! But was it a messy job???? Is this something my wife can do for me???? Damn near spit my Pepsi all over the computer. Thanks, just what I needed this morning. Oh, and it's too dirty of a job for the wife, better call in some backup.
  11. you going to go that weekend? i may try to make it that weekend. Yeah, there we go. I need some guys to ride with or else i'll end up all alone out in the sahara... Nah, I have a friend from down here who says he's going with me, hell, he said that last time, so I'm not putting much stock in that. So I'm trying to get some more people to go in case he bugs out.
  12. If I drive to Tulsa, will let you let me fly one of those things???
  13. $1.78 here in north texas. still sucks. Forgot to say, I run diesel out of my farm tank for my truck, it's around $1.40 or so in there. I also have a road diesel tank and a gas tank here at my place. The road diesel in there is like $1.70 and the gas is around $1.50, but it's the cheap stuff, so I don't run it in my bike or any of my cars. In fact, I told my wife not to even get that shit cause I won't use it. Dammit, ranting again.
  14. Go to CarbParts.com, find the phone number and call him. Tell him what you have and what you need, he'll hook you up.
  15. Zoolander is pretty god damned funny. Austin Powers ain't half bad either.
  16. I started chewing when I was 14. I "technically" quit when I was 20. I started to smoke and quit after 4 months because how awful it was to my stamina. I still chew on occasion, but don't have the addiction I used to have. Where do I fit in??
  17. i think it probably has more to do with your premix than your needle setting. You might switch oils to one that has less tendency to smoke, I see your running a 40:1, which is the first thing I thought of, the ratio. The ratio isn't a super rich ratio. I know Holyman runs (and sells) Amsoil @60:1 or something pretty close to that. My Maxima 927 smokes when cold but clears up great after warmed. Leaning the needle to the point of starvation is not a good thing. You might try 2nd or 3rd clip, but leaning your pilot back a little. Try CarbParts.com for some charts on needles and such. Follow the links to Mikuni and on in. Just some thoughts. I'll keep thinking and I'm sure someone smarter will come on in here.
  18. unplug the wire coming out of the parking brake, then follow it down the left side of the radiator and unplug it down there also. They both need to be disconnected, for that to be totally out of there. As long as you have the triangle plug disconnected from under the left side of the tank, you should be good to go.
  19. geez I live just north of Dallas, it takes us close to 6hrs... Yeah, come to find out I'm 4.5 hours away, I didn't think it'd take me that long. Did you see my post for the weekend of May 13 - 16? Think you want to meet up and go? Scott
  20. Absolutely. Get an air filter setup (i.e. plate, 2-1 Toomey, etc), then a set of midrange pipes (Paul Turner mids, FMF Fatties/Gnarlies, etc.). After that, nerfs. Then suspension. Rear axle, aarms, shocks. The suspension is key for mx. A stock well suspended shee will be faster than a well modded motor and no suspension on the track.
  21. The strap on the very tip has to be a dark brown or black and the ring a brown also. As far as oil coming from the silencers, what premix ratio are you running, that would be a more likely candidate as to the problem.
