  1. That's a good place to go. You can often find some on Ebay. My pipes came from ebay and i got the silencers from Rocky Mountain, and that saved a little dough.
  2. nah, more like 16/38 would be very close. 16/41 would be lower geared a little.
  3. Je suis de soliet mes amis sont... comment dit on "capin on your ass?" Des que ce bon? Yeah, I give up, your english is probably better than my French. oui beacoup caca est ici Etes-vous fait encore? Ceci vieillit.
  4. Just got back from my local doctor. He said it looks like everything's holding up good and that recovery's going well so far. Gotta go back in a week or two. He had received all the records from the hospital and it turns out my other lung was 25% collapsed, or 75% full, and that they never told me because they didn't need to use a tube and I really didn't need to know. Understandable. Guess I'll live. Thanks once again for all the support. Keepin it real. Scott
  5. Only thing I can think of is Rocky Mountain ATV. They have a good website and a killer catalog. They are all encompassing for mx and quads, but they do have lots of great things to look at. No one should be without that catalog. Scott
  6. Alright, that's settled. I'll be getting a -2 arm, well, when I can ride again.
  7. If you ran 20" tires before with stock 14/41 gearing and want to keep it the same gearing, a 16/42 will be about as close as you can get with 18" tires. A 16/41 will a tad higher, but you might like that setup, and it still is not as high as my 15/41 with 20" tires. Good luck. For more help, download BenBB's Excel gearing sheet. This will let you type in a specific tire and sprocket set for comparing different gear ratios. Changing tire sizes doesn't affect the final drive ratio, you'll have to look at the top speed in 6th and try to match it when changing tire sizes
  8. Have fun man, sounds great. Make sure to drink plenty of scotch, and you have to play some golf while your there. Later.
  9. the homie didn't know. he just bought it and didn't know shit about it. it looked pretty abused but seemed to have plenty of go. It had some 28mm's and it was ported, but other than that he was clueless. The pipes were old school FMFs. I would like for my front end to be a little lighter. It's harder to get it to come up than other quads I've had before. Later.
  10. Everyone keeps talking about how expensive they are but the Thor Force is around 80 bones while the Fox AirFrame is a cool 100. That's really not that much, call me a rich white boy, but hey. The Fox looks like it might protect low and around the sides a little more, but don't know. I'm cool with the fizzle and down on the behizzle my shizzle. WTF did I just say?
  11. happy birthday yo. being sick ain't no fun, better go grab a few cold ones to help ya through.

Awesome job, there's no feeling like beind lined up at the gate right before it drops, motors revved, ready to fly. Can't beat it.
  13. stock pilot, stock needle position, maybe 220s on the main. run a plug check afterwards to verify whether that's correct or not, may need to bump up a hair more, maybe not.
  14. yeah, yeah, yeah! once a smartass, always a smartass!! thanks for the good words led. i had her give me a "sponge bath" last night, but there was no funny business. dammit. i tried. she said i wasn't in the shape for that, i said you let me worry about that.
  15. Funny you should ask. My Weekend Dune Trip
  16. how does the plug look as after it mis-fires, or bogs? the left notoriously runs a tad richer with dual carbs. with that rich of a fuel mixture, depending on how your jetted, you may just be fouling out.
  17. joystick huh??? I'd like to try that. one had for the joystick and the other hand for the beer. That'd be nice. I can reach down for my beer in a straight line, but I need both to turn.
  18. I'd be bustin out some VP-110 or C12.
  19. I was just checking a couple things on Duncan Racing's site. I noticed they had a "how-to" for cleaning the air filter. They recommended the use of Maxima foam filter spray. I may get some and try it, as I've got two filters to clean and I won't be riding any time real soon. As far as yucky for your fingers, spray the filter pretty good, then put it in a ziplock bag and spread it around the filter like that, and when your done spreading, just keep it in there till your ready to use it, nice and clean. Scott
  20. It should be starting with 30 pilots, what if you tried holding the throttle open some during the kick. Maybe try some 25 pilots. How dirty is your air filter. Maybe try removing the filter for a kick or two just to see if shee'll start, if your in a fairly clean place. Above all, check your compression if you don't know the numbers, at least you can rule that out. Low compression can cause it to start some and then not start, it makes for very hard starting.
  21. No, I've still got PJSludge on my filter.
  22. 1st - buy/borrow a compression test gauge (can pick up pretty cheap and invaluable) 2nd - buy/make a leakdown test gauge (you can read about how to make one at Duncan's Pressure Testing page) you need to verify and/or eliminate those two things before you go worrying about other things.
  23. 100% agreed. I think the PJ1 is a great foam filter oil, but it is such a freaking PITA becuase it gets everywhere, sticks to everything and just sucks. I used to always use 10w30 or even 50w, don't know how I got conned into that stuff. My local race shop swears by the PJ1, don't know if I just put way the f*^k too much on or what. Later.
  24. 93 is $2.08 in my neck of the woods.
