  1. i don't know, you might try calling a local shop. Other than that, I'd say from motion pro or CarbParts.com.
  2. Who/where is your builder? FYI for me, don't know when I'll need him but probably sooner than I'm hoping.
  3. Sorry to hear that for the both of you. Glad I can give you something to compare to dale. Jen, I'm sure you'll make a quick recovery before your next atvccs event. Scott
  4. yes, will still make a lot of difference. just cleaning the crap outta the ports will help.
  5. I won't be healed up in time. Sorry fellas.
  6. if it comes out while your riding, at least you'll have a good snack.
  7. Best thing to do is throw in mains that are a couple sizes bigger and run a plug check. There is no way any of us are going to be able to tell you what to use. Not only are all shee's a little different, but porting amounts are different, flow air different, and there are so many variables that it's impossible. You are going to have to run a plug check and perform a little trial & error to get it right.
  8. what other mods, what jets do you have in it currently, what air filter are you using? It's feeling "sluggish", where; offidle, full throttle, half throttle??
  9. There you have it. It's pretty freaking easy. Which clutch did you go with? Let us know how you like it afterwards. Scott
  10. You sound pretty close. Read BenBB's jetting FAQ to compare your plug with his recommendations. As far as your idle, try adjusting you air screw a little and see if that helps. I run a EBC Dirt Racer clutch and some here have had good luck with Tusk's clutch.
  11. Hey man, was gone for the weekend. Keep in mind that not all banshees jet the same. While I'm running a 230, you might be at 190, or 210, or whatever. Your plug will tell you where it needs to be. I'd concentrate on getting the main jet set right, then move on to the pilot later. One at a time. If you move both and it runs funny, you might have trouble figuring out what caused what. Now, regarding the main. You might throw in a 210 and see what color your plugs are. If they're black an oily wet, then you need to go down one size and try again. Once you get the main where you want it, then play with the pilot. If your at 48 and it doesn't hesitate, then your good, if it hesitates then goes, you might move up to a 50. I'd suggest putting your needle in the 4th clip down from the top/blunt end. Down (away from the blunt end) is richer and up (towards the blunt end) is leaner. Just remember, take it slow and be patient, and your plugs will tell you everything. For more info on reading plugs, BenBB's jetting FAQ is a good place to look. Good luck. Later, Scott
  12. You might have to go up or down a size, but you may not have to change at all. Best thing to do is run a plug check after they're installed on the bike and see how your plugs look. Read BenBB's jetting page for more info on running a plug check and reading plugs. Scott
  13. First thing to know about jetting, is there is no absolute. Every motor jets a little different. While one person might be lean with 190, another could be rich. Run a plug check and see how your plugs look, then decide if your jetted correctly. BenBB's jetting page is a good place to start and learn how to run a plug check and read the plugs. Later, Scott
  14. That valve is there to repressurize with Nitrogen should it lose pressure. Some examples of why it'd lose pressure are rebuilding, or, like my dumbass, try to loosen a part and let some pressure out. My Elkas require 150lbs of Nitrogen to function the way they were designed. Very simple, but that's it, to pressurize with Nitrogen.
  15. Here's the link put together by Dirtwheels. Pretty nice stuff. Video link.
  16. well, it all depends on how much porting, but easily 2 or 3 sizes, and often more than that, like maybe 5, because your flowing much more air in and out.
  17. That's just what I was thinking, thanks BenBB. Yeah, through the frame is supa fly.
  18. I'm at a 52 with my 35mm and I'm richer than most. I'd say 42 or lower is what you'll probably need. Banshee76179 is running a 42 and he has some decent portwork. Turn your airscrew out 1.5 turns.
  19. You send your flywheel to boonman and he lightens it and ships it back. No more than a couple days in the turnaround, and he does for under one bill. The stator gives you 200 watts, period. If you have 2 55 watt lights, that's a total of 110 watts, and that leaves another 90 available. The stocker only has around 80 watts, so your pretty limited.
  20. Are those powerlines??? Shit, I didn't know Scotland had real electricity, I always thought that was a f'ing joke. Hmm, you guys are a lot farther along than I thought.
  21. but you could always regear your sprockets for same final gear at the tires, therefore providing the same performance you have now, minus a c-hair for the extra weight of the tires, not even noticeable. I run 20s because that's the same as my dirt tires, so I don't have a lot of sprocket changing.
  22. don't know about you, but I don't blow. nah, a truck is the responsible thing to do, the shee is the kid thing to do. Figure out your priorities and where you wanna be in a few years, and see which will hlep you get there.
  23. I'd probably start out with: 280 main stock pilot 3rd clip on the needle That is a "guesstimate" and you'll have to do some plug reading to dial it right in.
