sorry dlnoss, i should've said the coolhead equals out, because I believe I've heard that the Noss head cools a little better than the coolhead, is that correct, so that's where you'd see the 15 to 45 depending on compression?

looks like you need some more run time on the plugs cause they didn't color too much. get the bike nice and warmed up with them in and fart around for a few and then run your check, you'll get a lot more color on the ring and all to read from.

sredish, the spring was a small 1 inch that went in one of the needle valves....There is not too many of these springs on the carb. Question: the main air screw has a spring in it right? I think this is where it came from. yeah, there should be a little spring in there. what I hate is when I drop the clip from my needle, that is a big SOB to find. I did that twice when I was out at the dunes. I dropped it while working in my trailer and the floor is black and I could not find that damn thing for anything. If I wouldn't have found it, I wouldn't have been able to crash and break 3 ribs and collapse 2 lungs. Funny how that works.

Go down a size in the pilots and see if that helps. What pilots are you currently running and what is your needle position?

This tire is 22" tall, 11" wide on a 9" rim. This tire is 20" tall, 11" wide on a 10" rim. The above Maxxis Razrs will not fit on this rim. A 9" rim is needed for the above Razrs.

depends on the domes you use. if they're equal to stock, the head will help, if you raise the compression much, the temps will be the same, because the cooling will offset the extra heat the higher compression gives off.

Inline cooler is good for 5 degrees and maybe up to 10 Noss head is good for some as long as you don't raise the compression, raising the compression raises temps and will equalize whatever cooling your getting. Coolant additive is an effective way to drop 40 or 50 degrees, that's with Engine Ice. I'd use Engine Ice only, as it cools much more efficiently than watter wetter. Radiator, expensive, like 3 to 4 bones, however, it is by far the best way to get the temps down and in a hurry. If your jetting is good and you really need to get the temps down, the inline cooler won't really help too much, Engine Ice can help some, but if it is a necessity, don't screw around, get a large radiator and fill it up with Engine Ice and you'll be as cool as the Fonz.

If you can get it for 1500 then go for it, you could do a lot and still be in pretty good shape.

I have a set of front stockers off on '02 and they were removed within the first 6 months to be replaced. They've been in a box for awhile, hardly used. Let me know if your interested, I could ship them to you if you can wait a little longer. Scott
