  1. Congrats 2Smoker, I didn't think the FAQ, Help and Search features were used. Definitely try what is suggested there, that will help eliminate any hesitation.
  2. I'd sure like to try, but don't know where I'll be at that time. The 13th is my birthday.

    Fullbore fronts

Thanks guys, I saw that one the other day and have been watching it. Glad to know the experience you had Screamin, I'll definitely take that into consideration. Later.
  4. When starting cold, do you have to use the choke or will it start without the choke?
  5. sounds fun. love to see pics when you get some.
  6. Evil, did you get you a set of these kickers, the sound image is infinitely better... I run an MB Quart 5.25' mid and 1" tweet with an Alpine 6x8 in the door with the tweet disconnected. Very nice imaging. But dammit, i need some video. they make a piece that replaces the back and lower part of the center console (w/ capt. chairs) and allows you to put in a 7" screen, i'll probably look into that.
  7. i'm a big fan of the warn shackle that slides into the receiver hitch. i know you can just wrap the chain around the ball, but hey, it's much cooler when it says WARN!
  8. open clamp-ons are fine with sand, but mud and water is a totally different story. if you ride in mud, it won't work out for you.
  9. $25?? Not that's a bargain. boonman, you got it, I was thinking Rustoleum or Duplicolor and putting some heavy clear. We'll see. There's got to be an end to my madness.
  10. If your not running a BR8ES, then definitely go back to the BR8's, there is no reason to be running a colder plug and that cold be affecting your performance. A colder plug will have the effect of running a little richer, because it's not getting hot enough to burn the way it should. After you change back, try running it and see how shee does, if the problem is the same, below is my thoughts on what to do next.
  11. With our without the ladder to get in?
  12. i wouldn't worry about carbs until your stroked. get a timing plate and save your money for the stroker. that's your next big step.

    Fullbore fronts

Yep, I'd like a Fullbore front for my banshee. Scott
  14. not if your in jail... BE STILL, AND KNOW THAT YOUR MY BITCH. (SAN QUENTIN 52)
  15. I wouldn't go bigger than 33s unless your dragging. Personally, I wouldn't go over 28s or 30s unless you had a stroker. 28s work great with a port & polish. The bigger you go, the more top end and the less bottom, key is finding the spot where the powerband suits your riding style, i.e. all top end for dragging, etc.
  16. how long ago was it that you sent it in? i sent something and don't know how long to expect before it would be printed.
  17. good luck on curing the cackle. if it's a cackler, it will always be a cackler. i suggest running Mobil 1 synthetic tranny fluid, it will shift a little better and last longer. (you'll need that with the mods your planning) the cackle might quiet some with an exhaust system. once you get done with the "typical" mods; air, chip, exhaust, etc., you'll be ready for a new turbo impeller and an ATS intake housing for the intake side of the turbo and a banks exhaust housing for the exhaust side. That'll really make it take advantage of the extra air in and out. You'll be limited to the 3" in and 3" out on the turbo and the air will literally back up on the intake side and cause your turbo to work too hard, and then it won't flow fast enough through the exhaust side and that's where the larger housing comes in for the exhaust side. After that, go propane; yeah baby, no one will be able to touch you with all that. Forgot, don't let anyone tell you that you need injectors, they'll help but not worth the cost at all. They won't really be needed until you do all of the above and maybe then a little. They're pretty good for quite a bit of power, a higher flowing pump might be in order though before that. The 7.3 is so much fun because, like the banshee, the sky is the limit. Damn, I miss mine. one thing my '03 does is idle rougher than shit. i mean it sounds like it has a very aggressive cam in it, whoomp, whoo, whoo, whoomp, sometimes like it might stall. But when you push the pedal, the mofo is goooonnnne. I don't want to take it in for the idle, because I know they'll run an update on the computer and change some emissions settings and all, and it won't run as hard when I get it back.
  18. To successfully beat a yfz450, you need to be a good shifter and good rider. the yfz is a much easier machine to race because of the forgiving powerband, but if you miss a shift or just a little late, they will get the advantage. so it doesn't mean your machine is slower, but he might have just took advantage of a bad shift, or late shift, etc.
  19. shit, this thing is 5 months old.
  20. Damn Ben, I just about do it. My dirt guy would charge me an arm and a leg for that, even though I give him about 100G's worth of business a year.
  21. You guys seem to have a good idea as to the problem, maybe your right on the resolution, we'll see. Thanks.
