that sounds weird. technically, it's not wrong for the fluid to come back up into the reservoir after you let off of the lever. your keeping plenty of fluid in the reservoir, correct, and your not letting any air into the bleeder before you close it, correct? i'm trying to think what else it would be. i'll get back.

sredish, bansheejen lets go to Rocky Ridge tomorrow
sredish replied to dalegoldston's topic in General Banshee Discussion
Alright, I'm not going to go riding with you if we have any of that. Seriously, I hope he's okay and recovers quickly. I would have liked to meet up with you. That sure is a nice birthday present you got yourself, when was your b-day anyway? Later. -
What??? How could you. I'll be over at 7. I want to go day riding a lot more. I need to get back into it. I really enjoyed going out for 4 or 5 hours last Sunday. Name the time & place and lets go.
-
Well, there is one thing my wife could do that would top pretty much everything, and it doesn't even cost a dime. Haven't gotten that present yet today though.

where's the titties, the words "spring" and "video" should always include "titties".

PW, SW, LW ? What loft? A 56 degree. I always carry a 52, 56 and a 60. I needed a new 56 degree, as I use it the most, but my favorite is the 60 degree. You can do some awesome shit with a 60. What brand exh. did you order? I always run MBRP systems, one because their quality is second to none, and because I can get them through my Diesel Performance Parts (DPPI) supplier. Here's an audio/video clip of the exh.

How small a dome on a new stock motor?
sredish replied to mplecha's topic in Banshee Repairs and Mods
The typical guideline is not to go over 155 with 92 octane or super unleaded. If you advanced your timing, subtract that number from the compression number for your max lbs. with super unleaded. For instance: Stock timing with 92 octane, I wouldn't go over 155 max. +5 degrees timing with 92 octane, I wouldn't go over 150. At sea level, 21cc will probably be fine, 20cc might put you over 160, and this I'm figuring this for sea level like you said. If a person was at 4,000 feet, then it'd probably take a 17cc dome to get them up to 150. This is my opinion. Some will probably say that 160 is fine with super, and you could probably run 160 and not have problems, but if you become a little lean or overheat, you'll be more likely to detonate with 160 than with slightly less compression on super. I wouldn't take the chance. -
Good deal. Glad your back up and going. How loud are your pipes? I was riding with a dude this weekend who was running Pro Circuits and his shit sounded way quieter than man. I was mostly following in the trails because I had never been there. I was probably between 2 and 5 quad lengths away most of the time or moved up right next to him, and I really couldn't hear his at all over my Fatties, and when he idled, it was hard to hear it. I mean, it was kinda nice not having a loud ass bike right next to you, but made me realize how loud mine are. Cool man, Later.

god damn fro. I'm glad you found it. So was that a lot of the problem you were having to begin with? Do you have her fixed and back up now? That makes me worried, makes me wanna run out and check mine. Later.

Hot damn fellas, thanks for the thoughts. Yep, today, the 13th, I am officially 27 years of age. That's alright, because I kinda thought for a few weeks that I was turning 28. Anyone else do that, forget how freaking old they are? My wife is a year older and I can never remember if it's me or her that's turning whatever age we're on. Guess that belongs in the oddity thread, that I can't ever remember how old I am. We are officially celebrating my b-day on Friday. Cole, my 2 year old, has his birthday on the 28th. Since he really doesn't know the difference this year, we're going to celebrate our birthday together and have a big barbecue on Friday. I'm talkin barbecue Compton-style, with chillens running everywhere, the guys over by the grill getting toasted by 2pm and the girls chasin after the kids. The party's starting at noon, so everyone here is invited. All the other kids won't be here until 5 or 6, but we'll be way ahead by then. So far, I got a new Callaway forged wedge to add to my golf arsenal, I wear those things out pretty quick. I got a new outdoor fireplace that's open on all sides to go on my back deck. It's got a copper roof/top on it and is plenty big enough to stack a shitload of wood into for those late night outdoor parties. I also got some new golf shoes, as I change golf shoes pretty regularly also. I imagine there will be a few more on Friday. Here's a pic of the fireplace: My parents and my wife don't EVER give me gifts that go in hand with my two on-going necessities, my truck and my shee. They get me golf gifts though, which is my third and safer necessity. I guess they figure, if I want it or need it, I'll get it. If they woke up and realized this, they could probably make their lives easier by buying me things I'm gonna get anyways and it's not really hard to pick me out something that includes my truck, I mean my wife knows everything that's going to happen with them, but no big deal. I used to mention it, when they'd ask me what I want, but I don't even do that anymore. Oh, but my new exhaust for my truck will be here in another day or two. Nice stainless 4" turbo-back system, I ordered it a few weeks ago, but the tip I had wanted was backordered, so rather than change tips, I just decided to wait. That's my little gift-to-myself. Cool, well there's my story. Thanks fellas, Scott

I'm guilty of damn near everything you guys said. The TP thing, has to roll from the top, and there is to be "leftovers" when I'm done. I bite my nails with frenzy all the time, and I pop my knuckles constantly, in fact, sometimes they throb from soreness and it's because of the popping. I think if we all looked at ourselves, we're a lot more alike than anyone would admit to, with our "odditys". No shit, me too, I don't know how to start to the right. I mean, I guess I could if I had to, but it's just not normal.
-
congrats dog, just don't be strappin the shee to the top.
-
Damn, I never realized how many freaks there were here.
-
Only thing it needs now are some powervalves. That this would be hella fun. One note, the 450r would lap the 660 and it's quite a bit smaller. That banshee 617 would move so much freaking air that the raptor wouldn't even have a moment's glance, hell that thing would be done with the 1/4 before the rappy lets his freaking clutch out.

that's awesome. maybe we'll put it to the test when we hit LS. See how it compares to my fatties and lightened flywheel.

K&n Clamp On Filters With Stock Pipes?
sredish replied to slowpokebanshee's topic in Jetting & Exhaust Forum
leave yor pilots and needles alone, and your air screw is just an idle adjustment. if your concerned about it, just twist in and out until you find the spot it idles best and has best response. what are the noise restraints, surely like 98 or something. -
what about a wing wang, or maybe a tink tink sound?
-
just say NO to crack.
-
so is it replacing the 500 as your new hillclimber? honestly, how would you compare the two motors now?

sredish, bansheejen lets go to Rocky Ridge tomorrow
sredish replied to dalegoldston's topic in General Banshee Discussion
That was my first time out, but I can tell you this. There was only one other banshee, and all I could tell from where we were was that it had pipes. The plastic, bumpers, tires and everything else looked totally stock. There were probably 10 to 15 other sport quads, and there were a bunch more 4x4 quads. There were a lot of bikes out there. There seem to be loads of trails winding off in every direction, most pretty wide, not too worry too much about a widened machine. There's an area on one side that's really wide open with a straight stretch out in the middle for dragging. There isn't a light tree or anything, it's pretty much an open runway for you to do what you want. I would go out on a limb here and say it's not really a place that caters to drag bikes, and with a name like Rocky Ridge, that seems to pretty much sum it up. There weren't but a few people in the drag area when we got there, a couple of bikes and a 4x4 and a Scrambler that were taking turns and messin around. We took a couple passes and that was that. I need to get back to riding a lot more, and I'm going to try and go back some. The trails are pretty nice and there's some places that are decent to ride there, a couple of bowls to get some air time and a small track that I didn't go on, so I don't know how that is. -
scratch my nuts in public... you know, because they're so big.
-
well??
-
Awesome!! There's nothing like the feeling of working on 'er and then when your done, feeling that pure 2-stroke power paying you back, saying "thank you".
-
Cool, I'll do that then. I'll find some loc-tite or super glue and give it a whirl. Thanks guys, Scott
