  1. yes, regulators are very nice. i like them quite a bit. Put the lift under the front end this evening. Couldn't get the damned trac bar out to put in my new adj. one. The top bolts are out and the bottom nut is off, but the damn bolt on the bottom is blocked from being removed by the drag link. So, I don't know what i'm gonna do. Don't feel like pulling the damn drag link apart just to get at the freaking trac bar bolt, what a piss poor design, surely they could've swapped ends on the nut and bolt and made it much easier. anyway. truck looks decent, but it's not enough lift. still have some lift to go on the rear, but only blocks and i'll do it tomorrow, shouldn't take too long. the rims will be here Tues., i'll shoot y'all a pic when i get 'em.
  2. they definitely help improve the airflow on a single carb setup. i really like mine, plus they look trick. only thing, i wish you could get the cage in different colors to match certain bike schemes. as far as delta 2 or 3, 2's have been around and have proven themselves to be a good product. I'm sure the 3's are equally good as well, though I have no experience with them and don't know too much about them. Oh yea, watch out for the trees.
  3. God damn! I'd have buckshot chasin their asses!!
  4. is he talkin to me, cause i never do that...
  5. I recently cut my fenders and love it, especially in the woods, now I can see where my front "feet" are planted. I to was worried about dirt and mud, but even with my fenders i got muddy as hell. I really don't see that I get any muddier without them, because there is enough space under the fender to throw mud if they're gonna throw. Just do it, you won't be sorry, I wasn't.
  6. pm tats4life. he has a very sweet shee for sale for a very good price. this thing is freakin boned out to the max, ready to race and whoop all their asses. he might be headed to cali soon also.
  7. second that. they'll last longer than stock and are higher quality. and for not much more, you can get the 200 watter if your into that.
  8. Like they said, the R is for resistor. You don't need them as long as you have the stock plug wires, because the plug wires have resistors in the end. if, for some reason, you have different plug wires, or are unsure, then you should run the BR8ES.
  9. that's what i primarily use. if your carbs are jetted right, you'll get the proper color on the base ring and strap. plus the strap will give you your feedback on the heat range also. if i'm lost, or really need to get a grip on things, then i may chop them, but i can tell how she is by the base ring.
  10. I always go to 5th or 6th, this way the motor pulls even harder and it could still lean some. Unless, your normal riding NEVER get you into these gears, then don't worry.
  11. well, hot and dry would mean you'd need to lean out, not richen. I would still check for air leaks. timing can possibly lean some, but not all the way to 410s. how is your airbox setup? if your quad was running good on top, then why did you mess with the mains, a midthrottle burble is in the needle, or is this at full throttle? you could have something loose after jetting and rejetting over and over.
  12. Going from a 60:1 to a 32:1 or vice versa would be such a minimal amount of change in the actual air/fuel that I don't imagine it would vastly affect his jetting like that.
  13. like svt said, 300/30/3rd or 4th clip should get you pretty close. every machine is different and while one person runs a 310, the next may run a 280 with the exact same mods in the exact same location. so, throw in your projected jets and runs some plug checks and see what you come up with. without the lid, you could be running a 310 main or, you could be at 290, only way to find out is to read the plugs. Later.
  14. actually, the carb isn't a "constant velocity" carb, but the way the intake works with the carb, it receives a "constant velocity" of air/fuel so they've named it the C.V. kit. I call the stock carb system, "shitty".
  15. If it's jetted stock, then 280 main, 25 pilot and 3rd clip on the needle should get you pretty damn close.
  16. more and more efficient airflow, especially at lower rpms. the cylinders do not fire at the same time, one fires then the other, on a 180 degree cycle. with a dual carb setup, the air rushes in, then stops, then rushes in, then stops, very very quickly, from one cylinder/carb to the other. with a single carb, there's a constant flow of air coming through the carb (hence the name, constant velocity kit) and this provides a more efficient flow to the cylinders especially at lower rpms, therefore boosting power. also, the larger bore increases overall flow. that's the jist of it anyways. there's loads of posts on the single carb setup, search some here.
  17. I'd look for a 38mm. If I go stroker, I'd like to try a 38 or something before I'd switch back to duals. I bet that'd work good.
  18. for the mid throttle sputter, back off your needle one clip and then raise your pilot to the 50, it probably has a 48 in it. See if that helps, hell, try the 55 too.
  19. OK, you want stock pipes, that's fine. The only other thing that I can think of that will get you decent amount of additional power is: Pro Design ProFlow air filter plate with Uni or k&n filter. This is more a necessity than a want, due to the crappy stock setup. Trinity 33mm Single Carb. Will do wonders for your low to mid power and enhance your top end too. This is the one big thing you can do for power and keep your stock pipes. VForce Reeds, these will help the flow of air through your new carb (see above) and enhance overall power. After all this, you still need some power from your stock piped shee, get a real mild port & polish done. Not too much, because your stock pipes can't breathe enough for a lot of porting. Later.
  20. My stock length chain can be adjust to accomodate a 15t front down to a 13t front. Only one way to find out how the 13/41 works, suck that chain down and go ride brotha. You might like it, i don't, think the gears are a little too close, i actually like the 15/41 much better, and it doesn't spin as much because it's not so low geared, hooks up a little better, and i can still drag start in 2nd.
