  1. Yours looks a heck of a lot cleaner than mine. The ebay idea is a good one though.
  2. But, your not going to use if off road... then why would you want to do it???
  3. Get a ratio rite cup or the Maxima bottle (which is what I use) and mix 32:1 to 40:1, for 90% of the oils. I don't see a need for any more than 32:1.
  4. ok ok. (note, still had my fenders.)
  5. This one has a lot of wind, which is very bad, but even worse is the size. A normal hurricane will hit you and be gone in 6 or 7 hours, this one is so freaking big, it will beat on you for more like 30 hours. I've been through Hugo, Andrew, and shitloads more I can't remember and this is as bad or worse than any I've seen in my life. Normally, I just roll my eyes at hurricanes, but not this one, this one means business. Make sure you move inland and stay in a strong building, i.e. concrete block building or something. I'm hoping it follows what most do and turn north at the last minute, while I'm not there anymore, I have a lot of family and some properties that provide income that can be blown to shit. I'll be watching.
  6. That's a good point fixitrod. Stock gearing is for the birds, especially on a stroked motor. Throw a 15 or even a 16 on there and you'll have a different bike.
  7. if you have no suspension, that's what you need. you think that +4 is fast, get it to handle and it'll be really fast. Like fro said, +2 arms and shocks, that will do a lot and get a +4 axle.
  8. It was more of a sarcastic classified. I hate those things with a passion, they should all be burnt, crushed and destroyed.
  9. Hope you don't mind, but I saved them on my HD for future reference and for the good of the people.
  10. I'm gonna say start a little higher, like 300. 4th clip on the stock needle and 27.5 pilot. Just keep an eye on the plugs. Some even like a 310 main and some like a 280, but better to start richer than leaner, so you only have one way to work. Start too lean, then your bumping up higher just to bump back down.
  11. 4.6s suck, as well as 5.4s. Had them both in vehicles for the wifey. They don't compare to the ol 351. Supercharged might be a different story, but even the Lightning ain't nothin special, my F250 diesel will teach that lightweight something.
  12. my billet stator cover has faded some, needs to be polished. my rear axle has faded some, also needs to be polished. my front fenders.... wait.... what front fenders... my douglas wheels need to be polished i try not to spill gas too much, but i guess it does happen. someone showed me some stuff once where you rip the little piece of cotton out and it has polish on it, you use the little piece to polish the aluminum and then throw it away when your done.
  13. Hey, the dust shield for my front left brake has been sitting on the shop floor for what seems like a year. If anyone wants it, let me know. I'll start the bidding at $5.
  14. I love my Power Core silencers. They're loud, but something about the way FMF pipes sound. They have a distinctable tink tink sound, especially on a single cylinder.
  15. I got a good friend that lives over by killpecker,...they buggy there quite a bit actually. Hopefully someday I'll make it up that way and check them out myself. Killpecker is an awesome place to ride, I believe I have talked to you about riding at Walden before. If you are in the area, just take the extra 3 hours to go to Killpecker because it is definately worth it. I'm going to be riding Killpecker over the Labor Day weekend, and I'll get lots of pictures. I assume you ride Little Sahara, OK--Killpecker's dunes are quite a bit bigger than LS and there is about 13,000 ridable acres of 43,000 total. It is a challenging place to ride because the wind carves razorbacks all over the dunes. I can't wait for Saturday Damn, that's a lot of area. I don't think I've ever even heard of that place, and trust me, I'd remember a name like "killpecker". That's like the name of some twisted Tarantino movie.
  16. Define that. example...? C'mon led, you know, RUNS LIKE SHIT!!
  17. 50kb is the limit chief. and it should tell you in the faq what the acceptable types are. jpg, bmp, gif are all acceptable, and i believe png also.
  18. Yeah, I have plenty of room to ride, but nothing done up. I need to build a track or something. Dammit!! I'm the second entryway on the right (the only one with the gate), and there are two houses up here, I'm the second one. And a lot of times, I'm in the shop, which is the 4 door building your facing when you drive in, can't miss it.
  19. Hey Jen. I don't know that I'm going to buy one, just kinda been thinking. Yes, I'm going to make the race that weekend. I haven't gotten my "membership" all said and done, guess I better get on that. If youy see a guy on the frontage road of 82 on a mountain bike about ready to keel over and have a heart attack, that's me getting ready. Just got my springs resprung and am going out for a ride this very moment. Come on if you want. Just riding on my place here. Hey, what if I came down to your house and we got in that empty lot and did donuts? Wonder how long it'd take good 'ol Whitesboro PD to get there?? I thought about that the other day when I drove by.
  20. What "FMF" pipes do you have?? Are they Gnarlies? My fatties have more than enough top end with my single 35mm carb for me to hang with 90% of the quads in the dunes. The ones that leave me are the heavily ported and stroked shees. Or have you lowered your gearing to prevent your "top end" from ever coming about? What is your current gearing?
  21. Very nice!! Damn, I was hoping you guys would be talking me out of it, but your making it worse. Looks like a nice ass ride, but why orange?? Killer, when I get hooked up on it, I'll need some mod help, so I'll look you up. Just realized you said Walden. I grew up in Steamboat, CO, and rode Walden for years while I was a youngin and in high school.
  22. Just got it mounted today. Haven't really rode with it yet, but it does rub just a tad on the pegs. I was able to bend it away just a tad and it's ceased for the time being. We'll see how it feels tomorrow. Oh, didn't get chrome, jus the silver std. aluminum.
  23. thanks for the reply man. i've been searching like mad to see how potent they are and what can be done for them. I'm wondering how tippy it is/feels? I mean, blasting through the woods, do you ever feel like your pushing it's limits pretty easy or is it pretty stable? Thanks again for the reply b04le
