  14. Richard, don't build a turbo for the trails it will be a mistake on many levels, monetary wise and performance wise mainly. A peaky turbo will not make the kind of power where and when you need it. You need a a good 10 mil with the correct porting and carbs and pipes for the trails. A turbo will only benefit you if you were at the drag strip or shooting up dunes. What can you possibly do with 150-175 horsepower in the woods? And ask yourself how you are going to put that power successfully to the ground. Your going to need a long swing arm and I ride in the Catskills I know the terrain, your rideability will go to shit! A manageable 100 horsepower banshee with the right suspension and porting will out ride 175 horsepower banshee. By the time the turbo motor is going to spool up a naturally aspirated motor will be bike lengths ahead. Save your self a ton of money and headaches and build a 10 mil or a 521, but keep is naturally aspirated!!
  15. Yes sir, I took this about 2 weeks ago! I have no doubt I'll go 500k miles!
  16. I'm always late on these topics there are so many sections on this site! I'm just viewing this section for the first time right now, so I'll participate!! My daily driver/work truck/tow truck is my 2007 Silverado Classic with the LBZ motor. PPE HOT tune, MBRP turbo back, a bunch of other shit done.. I'm at 340,440 miles and it drives like the day I bought it!!! I LOVE this truck!
  17. Carl I have the OEM rims and tires front and rear! Do you want them?
  18. My engine builder for my turbo camaro and my Z06 explained it in simple terms which made sense to me. It's about directing the air flow, getting more air in and out of the cylinder while creating the path of least resistance.. Not just about porting the hell out of a cylinder or head.
  19. FYI I callled Cam from Redline to get pricing and suggestions for my 10 mil serval (porting, carb size, compression etc). I told him what I was working with, new Vforce4's and my small bore inframe shearers. He said I could stick with my small bore inframes and he would work the build around the shearers. He never mentioned or suggetsed any other pipes or that the shearers were not optimal. Same conversation with Sleeper06 and he said the exact same thing. No need to change my pipes. I honestly bought shearers because those are the pipes I always read great things about and I was not knowledgeable to CPI's or Snipers. I might have purchased different pipes if I was more educated on them.. But I wasn't. On my ported stock cylinders the shearers feel phenomenal and as mentioned numerous times in this post, they pull to the moon! I cannot see them being a bottle neck or hinderance on my new 10 mil. For recreational riding I do, I can live with a few HP and TQ left on the table.
