  1. Hit it with my 1/2 inch Snap-On impact gun pretty damn hard. I don't ever remember having this problem before. Yeah the little tabbies are bent back and out of the way. As long as I know lefty loosey. i'll get it one way or another. Just really tight on there is all I guess.
  2. My front sprocket nut seems to really difficult to get off. I just want to make sure I'm twisting it the right way before I get rough with it. Is this thing Left or right hand threads. Hate to make that mistake you know.
  3. How about the pistons are in backwards.
  4. 80 or 90 wt gear oil whoollyy mollley. How bout atf or hydraulic oil , or even brake fluid and power steering fluid mixed with castor oil. Seriously though what would be the reason for heavy wt gear oil. I think that with the clutch in there I would be more inclined to use something like atf if I were to switch from 10-w30.
  5. Looking for some front wheels to fit my banshee. No gold ones please. I need the standard off set. Shipped to 48730. Also still need a seat.
  6. So whats the reason for them being in there then? Yamaha must of put them in there because they thought they were needed?
  7. i am putting in a stock clutch and I have some rubber riings that look like they go around the plates or something. Where do they go and should I have one for each plate or what.
  8. Like it says I need a stinkin seat. Sell me one I pay american money or maybe beer. I want blue or grey cover if possible . Thinking bout tying a bale of hay to the frame right about now. Had a lot of beer toinight and it's gettin realy drunk out. Still need a seat shipped to 48730. At least thats where i expect to wake up. Could be wrong though. Like I said its really drunk here and hard to see. javascript:emoticon('') javascript:emoticon('')
  9. Yeah your right about the ground path. Pipes contact the cylinder head but the engine and pipes were electrically isolated other than the ground from the stator. Now I need to build a new harness.
  10. Things like this are hard to admit to but I will do it just so someone else maybe wont. If just for instance you might need to weld the little spring hoops on your exhaust pipe and say you just get all gung ho and do it right on the bike and lets say you happen to put the ground on ohh maybe lets say the foot peg I have noticed that after the second weld the entire wiring harnes from the stator up to the ground by the cdi will melt and catch fire. Just thought I might tell you that. Sucks to be me huh?
  11. I bought a crummy stock head off ebay expecting it to have the little water spout on it but it does not. If any one has one please tell me how much. It's the little one that bolts on the back side of the head and faces down. Thanks Chad
  12. Check out atvnc.com They have where to ride section. I just left south eastern NC after living there for 10 years primarily due to the lack of trails. They are big on mx tracks though. I was especially fond of mx-58 in maysville because they had a atv only track with good facilites. Also jacsonville mx park is good that is south of Jacksonville. There are no trails on that side of the state and croatan will just get you ticketed . I have heard that bucks had gone down hill since the owner had died a while back but the guys on atvnc.com can give you current report. Good luck Chad
  13. Thanks for the replies all. I think the comment about the floats not being set right may have been right on. I noticed that the floats would "bottom "out on on the top of the carb at just about the same time the spring loaded plunger on the needle was about 1/3rd of the way down. If that thing was bouncing around at all I'm sure the fuel level would be too high in the bowl. I'll dial that in and rejet when I get back up to Michigan in the end of July. I'm in NC now. 1000 miles away. Thanks again for the info from everyone it's really good to have alot of opinions on stuff like this.
  14. good point but then I would have to listen to all that damn intake noise that I hear every time I put that air box on.
