  1. I swear I've never seen anyone have this much trouble, or receive this much help over one damn nut!
  2. Drill the holes out and use longer screws with a nut on backside.
  3. The straight cut gearset takes a good deal of load off of the crank and bearing on the clutch side. It is a good investment when building a high hp motor. At least thats what I read and was told, so I got em....prolly just a ploy to get poor mf'ers like me to spend their hard earned cash. Happens a lot in this sport!

    Haulers

Add two teeth to rear to adjust.
  5. Get rid of it and you won't hafta worry about it. Mine hasn't had one for over 3 yrs.
  6. I'll see if I can talk champ into sending it to ya for a full evaluation. I'm sure he'll put the stocker back on before the racing season starts.

    tires

Try the Ohtsu radial 501. Its the tire that came stock on 250R's and 400 EX's. They seem to hook up really well.
  8. Umm, yeah, like I said.......WOW! Thanks for the info odaen, I think Dave is onto something there.
  9. Hope to see ya there, I wanna see that bitch run. Sounds impressive!
  10. 23champ installed the Nology on his bike last yr and all I can say about it is "WOW". It didn't do a f'n thing, looked like a waste of money to me. I'm sure he'll chime in on this as he's still a tad bitter about it!
  11. That shit is funny as hell!
  12. It doesn't really look like your average fast bike.
  13. Beer gives me hangovers.....I had to switch to bourbon and water. F'n beer was rottin my guts out. At least with the water I don't dry out as bad and it leaves me feeling much better in the morning
  14. Either resleeve, or if its more cost effective, buy a set of cubs. I'd say if the difference is $300 or less, the cubs would be the best bet. Depends on what kinda budget your on.
  15. Don't be surprised if you wake up sometime, with a car parked by your bedroom window, horn blaring its ass off. By the way, what was your address again?
  16. Next time ya come thru Atchison, try to keep it down. I only live about 5 blocks from the tracks. You have no idea how many times I've wanted to shoot you in the face at 3am.
  17. Perhaps small hose clamps could fix the fuel line problem?
  18. Don't know if we'll make it or not. We've all got a lotta shit goin on right now, prolly be a last minute deal if we decide to go. Yes, they were 250R's, damn fast ones at that! I don't know if I saw Jims run or not but there was some dude on an orange and white R that was flat out dustin' the strip.
  19. The oil is contained inside the transmission. Tranny case and crank case are two separate cavities. The oil that lubes the crank comes from the oil that is mixed with the gas.
  20. YFZ will be in stock or modified 450 four stroke class, depending upon its state of tune. Not sure on the DS tho....if there are enough Raptors and Bombs there will prolly be a seperate calss for them.
  21. There are many theories on this. Some say break it in the way you're gonna ride it and others say give it a nice gentle break in period. One of the best theories that I've heard of is to keep the engine in a nice steady pull. This provides ring pressure and cause the rings to "seat in" better. Hard to do with an atv of course but it supposedly works well in the aviation industry. I, myself, have a hard time keeping my hand off the throttle anytime I'm riding something so I normally break em in kinda rough. Consider this, Porsche breaks in all of their motors on a dyno!
  22. I'm assuming that telling the 35th member of the site to "fuck off" is precisely what wheatchex is talking about when he says this place has gone to the shitter. The site is way different now than how I remember it being when I first registered as a member. Some of it is better but most is worse. Alot of the members dont know what the site was like back then and probably don't care. I really can't explain what it was like, just different and friendlier. I barely post anymore unless its to help someone out of a jam. If I post anymore than that, someone will ultimately take something I say out of context and start a bitch war. I'm tired of participating in the melees that constantly go on and end up 35 pages long with no one even attempting to reach an agreement. With that being said, I know I've set myself up for plenty of bashing. All of you with the big egos and foul fingers, go ahead and start the party!
  23. Helluva predicament! Since the tap is so hard, you can sometimes break it with a punch and hammer. Try to break the sides off the tap a little at a time, it will eventually all come out. Its a tedious process and requires plenty of patience but I've had success with this method a few times. Only other option is a torch, and that could really F things up.
