  1. all you gotta do is take it apart and you'll see the ports that the air travels through coming into the turbine and leaving it. Just drill them out a little bit bigger and try it. Go up a little bit at a time until you think its prolly maxed out and gonna start losing power. I saw a guy at a former job port an Ingersol, and it would bust the head off a grade 8 3/8 bolt when it hit bottom.
  2. I gotta thousand bucks that says you're not!
  3. Funny you guys mention porting, cause you actually can port them and make more power...23champ has a Blue Point that is mean as a mf'er. I think he put a drag port on it! Gotta be careful tho cause if ya go too far you'll ruin it.
  4. Lean up your needle by moving the clip up one position. Also drain your float bowls, maybe theres a small bit of water in them due to condensation.
  5. I don't have the patience for that. After 10 minutes of fighting it I got pissed and hacked them.
  6. And while ya got it out cut the two steel pegs off the frame or you'll be back asking how to put it back in. Trust me on this one!
  7. Yep, make your ears crack in the garage and your neck crack when you pull the trigger.
  8. 23Champs pipes are nice....$450 would be a steal! I doubt they even got 2 hrs on em.
  9. If your not racing, or putting the engine under an extreme load for a long period of time and don't mind the smoke, then the stuff your using will be fine. People who aren't "in the know" about two-strokes use the stuff all the time in two-stroke outboards and watercraft. Talk about earning your keep, I doubt I'll ever run the banshee as hard as someone out on the water all day with a jet-ski. Those poor sumbitches hafta work hard to keep movin in the water, and I don't ever see any just blow up causa the oil. Personally I choose to use Maxima 927, but I've also got over $2000 invested in my motor and don't want something as piddly as oil ruining my motor. If I had a stocker and didn't do anything but trail ride with an occasional friendly drag race, it wouldn't bother me a bit to use cheaper oils. I know a lot of people that use Castrol 2 cycle oil, yes, the lawn mower shit (even gots a lawn mower on the bottle) and their bikes run just as good and last just as long as anyone elses. Damn, im gonna get bashed for this.
  10. In response to machwon...I don't know if they've switched to Nikasil, but Kawi's used to use a plating called Electrofusion. This type of plating was prone to flaking off and not only at the edges of the ports. If you encountered any type of detonation the plating would start removing itself frome the top edge of the bore. Let the good times roll!
  11. Yeah, you should start building cranks, cause everybody else is rippin poeple off. How can a crank that uses all of the exact same parts as a stock crank, only difference being the pin holes in crank webs located differently, cost $500 more than a stock crank? I would really like to know!
  12. Maybe I'm missing something here but I've seen countless plated cyl's ported on MX bikes without a second thought about the plating flaking off. I've never seen it happen and I've peeked inside more than my share of cylinders. Do the cubs have some sort of Nikasil plating that no one else uses or what? I'm under the assumption that Nikasil is Nikasil, no differences between what Yamaha uses on YZ250 and what is being used on cubs.
  13. Wasnt this same thing on PS? I've seen some haulers that were lawnmower tires in a former life. When they got sand on them u could see the lawnmower tread pattern. I think Skat Trak is making a fuckin killin off our dumbasses.
  14. I've got for sale 1 Trinty Stage IV head with 22cc, 20cc and 18cc domes. This thing looks like new and comes with 3 sets of domes plus o-rings. 20's have turbo cut if it makes ya happy. Hella deal at any price, but I'll take $150. Pics will be available Friday. If no one on here wants it ebayers get it.
  15. Use pinstripe tape...it conforms to corners better than electrical tape and you can pull it off and restick it if your not even.
  16. Nope its the 1st of Oct. Lots of draggin goin on in the next couple months!
  17. Next race will be held August 27 at 6:00 pm. It is a well groomed and watered sand track located approx. 7 miles west of Atchison, KS. This was only his second race, so he's still working the bugs out of the entire system but it is a good time. He's going to try and run once a month thru Oct. Anybody who likes to drag race or just hang out at the races and catch the excitement are invited. There is a concession stand on site with reasonably priced food and drink. Gate fee is $5 Rider entry fee is $10 Each class pays back 90%. I'll post directions as the next race date draws near.
  18. Everyone that owns a banshee is fighting the exact same war!
  19. Pro, that won't be too good of a race, you with flattrack tires and me with Haulers. Prolly be a one run ordeal for me. Either blow the tires or the motor!
  20. perhaps you should convert the banshee to diesel then.
