  1. Have you tried to get financing approved through Yamaha yet? I know it doesn't take a whole lotta credit to get approved. I know a guy who had no job and not too many lines of credit and still got a new YFZ. They'll give damn near anybody a new bike just to get em out the door!
  2. Better ask locogato, seems he's the expert here!
  3. Too cold and rainy for vids or pics. Hafta wait till April.
  4. Ridiculous! You want me to say it, here goes. I think they're both junkers and a waste of money. If I had the money in a bike that you have in that junker raptor, I can guarantee you it'd take ONE BAD DUDE to outrun it. Dont look like it takes too much to outrun your wicked little rappy! What I say when your not around is none of your fuckin business, thats why I say it when your not around. I do have a problem with the rat face fucker who thought he was gonna suck your dick and go "tell on me" for saying bad things about the almighty loco. I'll continue to say what I want in chat or anywhere else for that matter, only now it doesn't matter if you're there or not. Should make it interesting, huh? By the way, if ya think I'm a pussy who only talks behind your back, ask me what I think of em the next time we meet in person. I thought I'd try to be nice to your faces but if you want me say what I think, I don't really have a problem with that either. Ask anyone who knows me!
  5. Your best bet is to go to Planet Sand, I know some of the guys over there have converted sled engines to banshee frames. They look pretty damn radical too!
  6. Very good chest protector IMO. I have stress tested the one I have. Been wearing it for 5 yrs. Ate it after landing in some ruts off a 90ft tabletop once. Landed directly on the end of the handlebar TWICE with my chest (don't ask, it was a very fucked up and confusing couple of seconds with a lotta flipping and flopping goin on between me and and the CR)! No broken bones and no scars on the Airframe, and mines the clear one.
  7. The pipes are the only difference between the two bikes. By riding them, it just feels like the bike with SB's runs better. The 35's are not airstrykers, they are PWK's. You can choose to believe me or not. You came here wanting info, and I'm trying to give it to you, wether you want to accept it or not is up to you. If not, good luck with the experiments, hope ya gotta fat wallet!
  8. Of course he's gonna say BB's are best, he has them. The small bores are the way to go on the cubs. I have a friend who owns a set of BB's and they are a pain in the ass to mount, the filters are in high danger of being scalded and I really don't think it runs as good as my brothers with small bores. Both bikes are running 4 mil cubs with 35mm carbs. I hope some other pipe options become available for cubs this winter. I want more bottom than what the shearers provide, but can't stand the looks or hack looking welds on the CPI's. Not too many options out there at this point though.
  9. On the Shearers you just stick a couple washers between the mount and frame, this will give you enough clearance to keep it from hitting the head. It would take a fairly close examination for anyone to know that they are even there. On CPI's, the best way we have found to keep from burning a hole in outerwears is to wrap the stinger, where it contacts the filter, a couple times with header wrap and use exhaust tape to hold the wrap in place. Its a tedious process but it works. Cpi's and Shearer have about the same mid-top power with the Shearers revving out just a tad further. CPI's definitely have more bottom tho and are easier to ride. When the Shearers come on, its an eye watering, thrill a minute experience. Both are good exhaust systems, and make hella difference over FMF.
  10. It looks like a HOT unit on the box. Another bolt on gimmick!
  11. They are supposed to be the same price, so that everyone gets the same deal, but I'm sure the buddy system has produced quite a few sets for under $875. At $875 they're worth every dollar paid!
  12. Sand dragger, midwest. Need a set of lightweight a arms(hint hint).
  13. You guys are all freaked up! The VForce reeds over stock might make 1hp difference, and you sure as hell aint gonna feel that by "seat of the pants". Sure, I've got a set of V3's but thats just because I'm looking for every last ounce of power out my bike for draggin. My brother and I had the EXACT same Passion setup, only difference was I had stock reeds and he had V2's. On the dyno mine pulled 4hp more than his and 3ft/lbs more torque. HMMM....still wondering about that! When I built the cub motor I put the V3's in, don't know if it's because I had too much money at the time or that I wanted to believe the hype. They may be the best aftermarket reed system, and a lot of people use them, but in my opinion that isn't saying much. Seems to me that good advertisement and word of mouth is what has put them where they are. You don't gain big hp numbers by bolt on hype alone. It takes extensive motor work and lots of $$$.
  14. Not too worried about myself, just saying that others will find something else to do other than stand in 35 deg temps and watch ATV's race. Good spectator sport in the summer but when the temps fall...watch out.
  15. You're bike should be capable of pulling way more than 8 paddles...more like 10-12!
  16. 21x12-8 9 or 10 paddle Hauler.
  17. Its supposed to be kinda cold, (low of 35 Sat nite)so I don't know how good the turnout will be. Hate to see ya lose out on a big crowd once again due to weather. Sucks!
  18. I can have my tranny cut for $400. That $2000 could be used towards a frame or ? It's too steep for this guy, but there may be some hardcore dudes who would be willing to try it out. Thanks for asking tho.
  19. Me! I would neede more insight on this tho. Needs to be 5 speed. You may get more response from people over at www.planetsand.com as they are more drag race oriented over there.
  20. They do make softer springs for the keihin's. Don't know where to get em but give Jeff a call at FAST Racing. He put a set in my buddies bike and it's quite a bit better than mine.
  21. reded

    lil 350

Nice lookin bike and some damn good times! Good job.
  22. I've been running a FAST Racing clutch with no lockup, still holding. Don't know how long it will last but its put in 50 or 60 runs so far. You're right on the swinger and tires tho....I'm running a +6 with 10 paddle Haulers.
  23. If your bike will do 94mph in 300ft then I guess 96 wouldnt be too impressive. You bring it to the next drag race in my area and if it runs 94 in 300 ft, with the mods you say it has, I'll be so impressed I'll kiss your ass!
