  1. Who bought a fuckin bumper? Maybe you should shut the fuck up and read dipshit!
  2. The bike will have a hard time if racing from a dead stop, due to the narrow width of the tire. A rolling start on the other hand will be a different outcome, and in dirt the CR will win everytime.
  3. Check the pins that hold the pads thoroughly for any divots or grooves. Sometimes they get grooves worn in them and the pads will get stuck. If thats not it then the pistons are prolly sticking from rust.
  4. Good job on the explanation switchblade, I'll still buy from ya. Yes you probably will end up looking like the asshole. I got twisted into being the asshole while merely trying to help you keep your good name and loco to get his parts. Thanks FRIENDS!
  5. Read it right dickhead, the sentence had a question mark on the end of it...that meant it was a question. Did you even finish high school? I was trying to come up with some answers, but you and your hot head brother took it the wrong way, as usual.
  6. You Clarks are a couple of assholes....why do you wanna be so mean to people on here all the time? I simply stated the facts as they happened and you both jump all over me and start callin me names....man thats bold!
  7. Hey man, I'm just telling the story from my point of view. The guy came thru for my bro and seemed like a good fellow. Why do you wanna jump all over my ass and cuss me out? I thought we were all friends here at the HQ. See, now your rubbin me the wrong way. If thats how ya treated switchblade, I can see why you haven't received your part. I scoured Direct Drives website and it seems they dont carry the SFB billet cover. Since I dont care for the looks of the ugly stock cover, (no matter how much is invested in polish or paint) it looks like I'll have to "roll the dice" and take my chances with switchblade. At least if it doesn't show up I'll have the satisfaction of knowing that loco drove to Wichita and whipped the guys ass already.
  8. 23champ bought an SFB billet clutch cover from switchblade and he seemed more than accomodating. He even offered to install it on the bike when we went thru Wichita on the way to dunes. It showed up sooner than he originally said it would, and was half the price of anywhere else. I'm thinkin bout buyin one and taking my chances, seems like a good dude to me. Myabe loco just rubbed him the wrong way?
  9. You should prolly go with that feeling F.A.S.T 1
  10. You don't have to port the cases, but it helps when trying to extract every last ounce of hp. It's also easier to do when you're replacing the crank, since the motor is already torn apart.
  11. You are definitely on the right track . I'm using a FAST Racing clutch in my 421 and it has held up so far. It could go south tomorrow but it is currently holding. I'm goin to a lock up for next yr so I wont have to worry about it. The Noss head will work but you'll hafta have big bore domes. As far as what cc, you'll prolly hafta talk to David in order to work something out for pump fuel. I'm running 20cc domes and have to run race fuel. I use mine strictly for drag and am running 14/41 gearing. You may hafta experiment some with gearing in order to find out what works best for your application, but the stock gearing is a good starting point. Pipes is a whole new can of worms. You can ask 10 different people and get 10 different answers. I run Shearer inframe small bores and it pulls like hell on top but is a lil weak on the very bottom. My brother runs SB CPI's and his seems to have more low end, just doesn't pull quite as hard or as far on top. The BB CPI's are kinda iffy as most people say that 420 is the dividing line between SB/BB. The BB's will work good but I'm not sure if they work as well as SB's. 35 mm PWK's will be an excellent carb choice and now that a lotta people have these motors, you should be able to get good advice on baseline for jetting. VForce 3's will work great. Good luck with the project and make sure you do as much research and talk to as many engine builders as possible before deciding on the porting. There is a shitload of info available for these motors. Try Planet Sand for a lot of valuable info as well.
  12. wesw's setup prolly would be the best way to go if your looking for a Passion 12 port motor. It looks like it runs well to me. No nutts for me either....
  13. Usually a 3-4 ft piece of pipe and a large deadblow hammer will get em back into shape in no time.
  14. That is hella deal! Theres more to it than that though. You'll also need wrist pin bearings, gasket kit, stud extenders and water jacket plugs. It says that they are plated. They should make awesome power even with the stock porting. Bit of advice as well, I waited 6 weeks getting my Shearers from those fuckheads at in2glamis. Never did receive a billet intake that I once won (via ebay) from them. Had to file complaint against them with Paypal and Ebay.
  15. Dont think you'll be too limited, I know of several CR 500's making mid to high 80's with Pro-Circuit and FMF pipes. The individual who ports it has more to do with how much power it makes than any pipe ever could.
  16. Out of frame drag pipe prolly wouldnt be too cool on a CR 500, nor would it enhance the handling capabilities of it.
  17. Looks like u already have the right ones. If you'd like a lil more top end try some CPI's.
  18. Call Jeff at FAST and get the good O-rings. Mine leaks also but someone told me there is a better set of rings available that stop the leak.
  19. Yikes, thats a lil steep...if they were $100 bucks cheaper I'd be all in!
  20. FMF Gnarly for bottom and Pro-Circuit for top. You can also put a CR250 CDI box on it for more top end.
  21. Yep, stock yammie are prolly gonna be the most reliable, and without porting, you wont notice any performance gain with aftermarket pistons.
  22. Yes, its velvet! Ever wonder why the seat is missing in most drag bike pics ya see? It's cause they dont want their seat getting wet, dirty or whatever, so they put it on only when its time to head for the strip. It looks cool on some bikes but mine ain't that far along yet!
  23. Try Bobs Cycle Supply, they usually have some good deals on freeride pant and jersey combos from various manufacturers.
  24. I wouldnt think they'd go bad in 15 hrs. Sounds like ya got ripped off a lil bit. The best way to prevent it is to learn as much about your bike as possible and try to repair as much as possible on your own. Buy a Haynes or Clymer repair manual and a good set of tools, they'll both pay for themselves in the long run.
