Yes, it needs to go between the water pump and the radiator, that way you know what the coolant in the motor is doing....................

that would be the bottom hose then?

but i have been told it flows from the head to the rad at the top then out the bottom to the water pump through the engine and so on.

???

I put mine 6-8 inches out of the head... I wanted to know my max temp thats comming out of the engine.

Thats where i have just fitted mine that came with the trailtech vapor.

So we are both correct or both wrong , lol

so witch way does it flow? head to rad or pump to rad?

I put mine about 4-6 inches ffrom the pump

i think head to rad... the pump flows cooled coolant through the engine up and out of the head to the rad.

I'm pretty sure out of head is return to rad (hottest readings?)

top to rad

left to head

rt to gauge

Your in good shape... IMO you want to know the MAX temp. Installing it before the pump really isn't going to tell you how hot the engine is. Since that coolant just came from the rad, its going to be considerably cooler than actual engine temps..

Check it...

Throughout that thread I listed all the info I could think of
