Snopczynski
I had a member email me, and I accidentally deleted it. No extra mods needed for this setup, unless you trim out the radiator cover to see the gauge better. Use the 16 psi cap.

Powerstroke
That looks like an old domestic cap. Your box says 2472 Snop's post at the top says 2473
Snopczynski
Either way you got the wrong cap, that one you have is 13 psi, you need a 16 psi. No one is wasting their money if they buy the right cap.
bode1
I have a 96 and my cap fit it perfect. You have the wrong cap.

Alex29573
so switching from 13 to 16 psi is going to make the cap smaller and fit? I bought an IMPORT 13psi, the only different the other one will do is it will be 16psi instead of 13psi. theyre both import though (not domestic)
ISSUES
If you look at your picture you posted in the upper left hand side the part # is wrong, You got #2472 you need #2473. Edited November 1, 2009 by ISSUES
Alex29573
the difference between 2472 and 2473 is the pressure (13 psi vs 16 psi) not the size. The size is determined by wether its import or domestic... http://www.mr-gasket.com/ProductsListByMinID.aspx?minID=3008&majID=300&selection=9&minselection=3 Edited November 1, 2009 by Alex29573
